Prayer for the Performing Arts Festival
God our Father in Heaven
May we always cherish the gifts that surround us, and share our blessings with each other.
May the Word of the Lord give us courage to preach your word through the creative means of music, dance and drama,
Lord teach us what we should do.
Let our thoughts and actions be guided by your grace, and may your spirit help us in promoting the Word of the Lord to others.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

Quiz Night
On Friday 20th October the P&F Quiz night is taking place in the hall beginning at 6.30pm. Events like these are fantastic for our community and really add to our sense of belonging.
Obviously, a great deal of work goes into organising an event like this and I would like to thank the P&F for the amazing job in coordinating this event so far. There are many donations and great prizes coming in. We even have a signed and framed Sam Kerr Australia jersey as one of the auction items. You certainly don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to bid on this!
Get your table together and register via the poster in the P&F section of the newsletter. It promises to be a lot of fun!
Groundsperson
In staffing news, our Groundsperson, John Boley, has decided to retire at the end of this term. I would like to thank John for all his work to make sure our grounds are looking fantastic and are safe spaces for our students to play. I have worked closely with John over the last three years and he will be sorely missed.
We are currently in the process of finding a replacement for John. If you know anyone who would be interested in a job like this, please let me know.

Mark Ryan
Principal
A Word from our School Advisory Council Chairperson
In 2021 our school community welcomed our current Principal, Mr. Mark Ryan, for an initial appointment of year 3 years. The School Advisory Council is pleased to announce that Dr. Debra Sayce, Executive Director – CEWA, has offered Mark a further 5-year appointment which Mark has gladly accepted.
Over the past three years, Mark has brought about significant positive change to the school. These changes can be seen in the physical space, strong enrolment numbers, a significantly improved budget, implementation of new education programs and a strengthening of the Queenies community. Mark has achieved these improvements all whilst managing the school through COVID.
The School Advisory Council looks forward to working with Mark for the next five years as he continues to improve the school community.
Congratulations Mark and thank you for your hard work and dedication to Queenies.
