I thought I would write a quick note as to my family life at home. My daughters have been both fighting a terrible cold with a fever since Friday. I was home with them Monday and took them to a doctor (due to their fevers) and all tests came back negative (strep, flu, pneumonia etc..) but we got a call from their daycare facility Tuesday to pick up Camille (my youngest) because she started running a fever again. My husband is home today with her, but unfortunately I have to stay home again tomorrow with her until she is fever-free for 48 hours which is their school's policy. I feel badly about not being here for your children, but as you know, as mothers and fathers, your own children are your number-one priority. I plan on being back Friday. I thank you for your understanding and patience. Here's hoping that we can kick this bug once and for all! 'Tis the Season! Wash your hands! There's a lot going around Madison as well!
-'normal' homework is due Friday like usual
-100th Day Heart is also due Friday please
I will send home a list next week so you have the spelling of names for cards :) I will make a paper copy and send one home via Smores as well.
I plan on starting an exciting new app called Homeroom...Mrs. Rebholz uses it and has had great success! It basically sends you updates and pictures of your child to your phone. I need to figure out more of the details, but I plan on starting next week.
Next week is Groundhog's Day and the 100th Day of school! We plan on doing a collaborative STEM activity for the entire 2nd grade that relates to the 100th day of school. I'm hoping to have the Homeroom App up and running so you can see everything your child created...more to come.
Thanks again for your understanding and please don't hesitate to call or e-mail with any questions and/or concerns you might have.
Have a good night,
