Dear Parents / Carers,
It seems strange today to be sending the children off on a break when we have only just welcomed them back into school but it has been a long and sometimes difficult term for everyone and I am sure the break will be appreciated for the rest it will bring.
Over the last couple of weeks we have reassessed the children's learning and I know that most parents have now had their teacher consultation and should be reassured about the way ahead for their child. The Easter break will give the teachers the time to gather that information and plan for the summer term ensuring that remaining gaps are filled and the children continue to receive a broad and enjoyable curriculum.
I hope too that the break affords our parents some time to recharge their batteries and enjoy their children's company without the pressure of homeschooling!
As we head towards Easter and the joy of the risen Lord, we also have lots to look forward to in school as we are able to enjoy the better weather and make the most of our lovely surroundings. The Friends of Kirk Fenton have kindly used this time to refresh the audio visual systems in the hall so that when we are next allowed to put on a performance, everyone should be able to see and hear everything. I can't wait to have all the children back in there together for assemblies and worships! In the meantime thank you to the Friends for their generous donation and have a wonderful, peaceful Easter break.

Just 3 weeks since school returned with all children in situ and now holiday time is upon us once more. As you will be aware, due to the Covid situation Friends have sadly not been able to undertake our usual fundraising activities and the Friends members have had much to juggle, with their own jobs and home-schooling. Luckily though with having a few pounds in the bank we have still been able to help out school in small ways.
As the academic year heads towards the summer term and our thoughts begin to drift towards the new academic year, it will be time to put a call out for new members and new ideas. If you can help and want to be involved, please do get in touch with Us.
For now we wish everyone a very happy easter and hope everyone stays safe and well and gets to have a little rest.
