Welcome back, returning Kodiaks! We hope you've had an amazing summer and are ready to hit the books. But before you do, be sure not to miss this year’s spectacular line-up of events coming your way. Keep a look out for new posters, weekly TP times, tabling, and - of course - the one and only Kodiak Weekly popping onto your screen throughout the quarter. Your Student Life has been working tirelessly this summer planning a fun and interactive year that you'll never forget. A big shout out to our new Kodiaks this year, Student Life is really excited to welcome you to our Kodiak family. And on that note to kick off a wonderful school year, don't miss the ARC Carnival. Global Student Welcome!
Join the Intercultural Coordinators and UWB & Cascadia partners for one of the biggest events of the year, Global Student Welcome! Make new friends, build community, celebrate our campus's amazing diversity, and enjoy a global dinner & student-led activities. All student clubs are invited to table.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR GLOBAL STUDENT WELCOME!
In the spirit of collaboration, we are presenting volunteer opportunities for our Global Student Welcome, which is happening next Thursday, September 29th from 6-8pm in the ARC. Feel free to share information about the event with your friends and let us know whether you’d be able to volunteer! Volunteers are most needed from 6-7pm: we could use help with crowd control, check-in, and serving food. Activities and dinner will begin at 6 and a panel discussion and trivia will begin at 7. If you’re interested in volunteering, you can fill this form out; quick OrgSync form. We hope to see you there!
The Activities & Recreation Center

Check out our latest addition to the campus; the Activities & Recreation Center or ARC for short. The Activities & Recreation Center (ARC) is the hub of student life on campus; a safe
place for students to gather, socialize, dine and exercise. It features three floors of student resources and amenities:
- Lower Level: Fitness Center, Group exercise Room, Lockers, Vending Machines
- First Floor: Food Trucks, Information Desk, Video Game Alcove, Gaming Tables, Student Leader Offices, Meeting Rooms
- Second Floor: Multipurpose Event and Gather Space, Meeting Room, Student Alcoves

The Fitness Center is located on the Lower Level, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and machines for use by currently enrolled Cascadia students, University of Washington Bothell students, and faculty and staff from both institutions.
ARC Tours!!
Come tour the Activities & Recreation Center to see all of the amenities it has to offer. Tours begin at the Fitness Center on the Lower Level (LL).

ARC Carnival
Don't miss the Arc Carnival on September 28th from 5pm-8pm! The Campus Events Board, Cascadia Activities Board, and Recreation & Wellness will be hosting this event on the 2nd floor of the ARC. We'll be having a lot of exciting activities such as arcade games, henna artists, caricature artists, swag giveaways, delicious treats, and much more! Mingle with new and returning students and also get to know your student staff here at the ARC!

Hungry?
Check out the Food Trucks, stationed outside of the ARC on Campus Way. Vending machines are located on the Lower Level of the ARC. Snacks, fresh vending options (salads, sandwiches and more) are replenished throughout the week, and drinks can be purchased with cash or credit card. There are also two microwaves for students to use in the building, one on the 2nd floor, and one on the lower level by the vending machines.
