Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break! We are refreshed and ready for the fourth quarter!

This is the time of year that we start looking forward to next year. We will need to fill some very important roles for our 2023-2024 academic year. Please let me know if you are interested in serving as an officer on our Home and School. We are also looking for an auction chair. Both roles are, not only an excellent way to give to the school and earn Care and Share hours, but they are also a great way to meet new people and make lasting friendships. You can reach out to me at hmccoy@spxtulsa.org with any questions. You will notice some changes around campus this week. Several dead trees were removed and flowers have been planted. Thank you to the following people for beautifying our campus: Michael Brennan, Patrick Deao, Bryan Schooley, Stephen and Gabrielle Hilger, Ron Ferguson, Daniel and Joy Griffiths, Albert Septiano and Chris and Kristin Steuck. Thank you for taking some of your Spring Break to make our grounds more colorful and cheerful!

We are still working on a maintenance directory for the church and the school. If you own a business, or have a special talent, please let me know and we will include you. We would love to give back to people from our own community when we have projects to complete.

Our Egg Hunt is quickly approaching. The hunt is scheduled for Sunday, April 2nd, after the 10:30 Mass. We will also have our First Sunday picnic on that date. Our goal is to have 2,000 eggs for the event. If you would like to donate eggs and/or candy, you can send them to the school office, or you can put them in the box at the back of the church.

Stations of the Cross is at 1:30 this week in the church. You are most welcome to join us.

Laetare in Latin means “rejoice” On Laetare Sunday, the Church expresses hope and joy in the midst of our Lenten fasts and penances. The priest’s vestments worn today were rose in color. This change in color indicates a glimpse of the joy that awaits at Easter, just before we enter into the somber days of Passiontide, the last two weeks of Lent.

SPX Neighborhood Crawl

Did you know that St. Pius X not only has an amazing Church and School Community, but a pretty impressive neighborhood community as well? Join us as we celebrate our community with a fun evening of friends, food, and drinks!

Who: Adults only

Cost: $25 per person (all proceeds benefit school development projects)

SPX Children's Choir

Children's Choir will meet on Tuesday's beginning February 21st, 3:15-3:45pm in the SPX Church. If your child is interested in attending, please contact Karen Gingrich, kgingrich@spxtulsa.org.

Grant and Aid Information

Grant and Aid: Families may apply now for the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment for the 2023-2024 school year. There is a $40 application fee per family. Please visit www.online.factsmgt.com/aid to apply. Families can also access Grant & Aid from their Facts Family Portal account under the financial tab. The deadline to file for tuition assistance is April 15th.

What we need:

EGGS - We need pre-filled eggs! Our goal is twice the amount we had last year. There will be donation boxes at the school and in the church vestibule to donate.

VOLUNTEERS - We need 10 volunteers to help us hide the eggs on the lawn. Pleas email homeandschool@spxtulsa.org if you would like to help.

1st SUNDAY PICNIC -

8th grade is hosting and funds raised will be used towards their 8th grade trip.
