A Christmas Carol video Friday, Dec. 19 in Auditorium
We will watch George C. Scott as Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol in the auditorium. Students are asked not to bring anything to school. No backpacks. No books. No iPads or e-readers. No food or drink is allowed in the auditorium. The video will end, and then it will be time to dismiss from the auditorium.
Happy Holidays!
I hope you and your family have a restful, fun-filled holiday. Your children are a blessing each and every day!
Some Holiday Gift Suggestions
Books. You know I was going to suggest it! :)
Some recommendations: Where the Sidewalk Ends (poetry anthology), boxed sets of Divergent, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, The Maze Runner, Percy Jackson. I recently read I Am Maylala and was inspired by her courage; it is a book our middle schoolers would enjoy. Email me if you have any recommendation questions.
A Calligraphy Set, or just a calligraphy pen. We worked on cursive writing with Dr. Guthrie, and all of our handwriting improved. If I could buy each of them a calligraphy pen, I would! At craft stores like Hobby Lobby, they sell calligraphy sets and inexpensive pens.
Upcoming Events
January - we will be reading The Call of the Wild as our classic for the third nine weeks.
We will also be working hard on writing and editing skills.
