College Visits
Many college visits are listed on the College Visit Webpage. You can also go to the college 's website you are interested in for more information.
Remember, students are allowed 2 college visit days during school days that do not count against your attendance. Have your parent call the attendance office before the visit and tell them you are going on a college visit.

Seniors will come to the gym and be able to apply to any college. College Reps will be there.
Ducks In A Row
Ducks In A Row Checklist:
- Apply to College
- Send Transcripts
- Complete the FAFSA
- get a Letter of Recommendation
- Create a Resume
- Complete a Scholarship Application
- Attend a College Club Event
- Complete a Personal Essay
Students can choose to complete these items in a Ducks In A Row Google Classroom (join the class using class code ylfi2a) or the can just bring proof or these things to their counselor in the counseling center.
Quest Bridge
QuestBridge is a nationally recognized nonprofit that connects high-achieving, low income students to full four-year scholarships at the nation's best colleges, including Stanford, Yale, MIT, Amberst, and Duke (39 college partners in all).
Who should apply?
- Excel academically and exhibit strong personal character. These students typically earn A's in the most challenging courses available.
- Come from households earning less than $65,000 annually (for a typical family of four), with limited assets, and may be eligible for their school's free or reduced-price lunch.

Wendy's High School Heisman
The Wendy's® High School Heisman® Scholarship application is open for students graduating with the class of 2018.
This year, Wendy's® will be awarding 100 students from across the nation with $150,000 in scholarships. And your students have the opportunity to get in on it.
Looking for scholar-athletes with high character.
Wendy's is looking for scholar-athletes like last year's National Winner Frelicia Tucker, a tennis and track and field star who uses her work ethic and passion for excellence to inspire others and champion causes she believes in. Your school has students like Frelicia who give 110% in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
Since 1994, Wendy's has been partnering with the biggest name in college football, Heisman®, to support education, recognize achievements, and celebrate students through the Wendy's High School Heisman. Make sure your class of 2018 students are in the game.
Applying is easy.
Applying for the Wendy’s High School Heisman is your chance to earn a scholarship toward college, as well as local, state, and national recognition for all that you’ve put into your high school career. If you’ve maintained at least a B average, participate in at least one eligible sport, are a leader in your community and role model at your school, then you’ve got what it takes to be a Wendy’s High School Heisman.
It's easy to apply for the Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship. There are two phases of the application.
Phase 1 >>>> Provide information about your academic performance, athletic achievements and community involvement. The Phase 1 deadline is October 2, 2017 and must be reviewed by a school official by October 4, 2017.
Phase 2 >>>> Answer a few essay questions and provide supporting information about your achievements. The Phase 2 deadline is October 23, 2017 and does not need to be reviewed by a school official.

The US Senate Youth Program
The United States Senate Youth Program enters its 56th year of providing high school juniors and seniors with an extensive orientation of all branches of the Federal government and the opportunity to receive a $10,000.00 scholarship. This is mainly for students who have had leadership experiences including class officers, student council, National Honor Society, Boys or Girls Scouts, or other leaders of school or community clubs. Please read all information carefully so that you understand personal expenses that may be involved.

Completed applications must be received by the Nebraska Department of Education by October 4th, 2017.
