I trust everyone has had a fantastic break and is looking forward to the 2023 school year after enjoying some rejuvenation and refreshment.

Welcome Day Thursday, 2nd February

As you'll be aware, Thursday, 2nd February is our 'Welcome Day'. This is a dedicated time to meet one on one with your child's new teacher and set the stage for a positive year ahead. If you have not already done so, please book your time using the link below. Children are welcome to attend this informal meeting with you if you would like to bring them along.

Classes Resume Friday, 3rd February

In the meantime, the team are hard at work preparing for classes, attending professional development and looking forward to meeting with all our families. I'd like to take this opportunity to extend a particularly warm welcome to those families (and staff) who are new to our school.

Those families joining MENPS for the first time are also invited to a whakatau (traditional powhiri) event, which is scheduled to take place at 10am in the school hall when classes get underway on Friday, 3rd February.

Next week, we will share our 'Key Dates' overview for the term ahead, ready to hit the ground running for another successful year - no doubt the children will be raring to go as always!

Monday, 6th February: Waitangi Day (School Closed)

There are no changes to our COVID settings from the end of last year. We continue to encourage keeping your child at home if they are at all unwell, and recommend regular testing as appropriate.

Ministry of Health 7 day isolation requirements are currently still in force for those testing positive, filling in our online absence form to advise us as usual.

Facemasks continue to be optional, and entirely at parental discretion.
