This Week's Theme: MAKING DECISIONS
Making good decisions can be difficult. Here are a few pointers to help you the next time you are struggling to make a good decision:
- Take some time to think things through. If you have a big decision, make sure to book some time on your calendar to think about it!
- Be clear about what you are deciding on. The more clearly you can define the decision, the easier it will be to think it through.
- Come up with options. That means you need to generate ideas on what those options could be. Come up with as many as possible!
- Consider your values and expectations. What do you feel is important? What are your priorities? What do you hope could come out of this decision? Thinking about what you want and expect can help you to refine your decision.
- Ask other people. This can be valuable to gain different perspectives, and maybe even options, that you hadn't thought of before!
- Try it! If you have an opportunity to try something for a short period of time, it may help you to come to a good decision. Want to try a new habit? Try a 30-Day Challenge (instructions below)!
