Moreau Heights Elementary
Moreau Heights is a collaborative community focused on student growth with a commitment to excellence.
Our PBS lesson for the week will focus on being safe, using the first sentence of the Charger pledge.
Be sure you are noticing where individuals and groups are on track, as well as when additional practice is needed.
"You are a giant, yellow highlighter. Highlight behavior you want more of, and help children become aware of the many kind and helpful things they do each day."
Conscious Discipline Video - Handling Temper Tantrums
This video gives us a perspective on student tantrums and strategies for response. We are all trying new responses to student behaviors to support them in a way to help them develop regulation skills for long-term change.
I have also include a few videos from the staff meeting presentation for you to see. Great ideas to get students connect with one another, as well as connecting with our friends who need to know they are loved.
Pay close attention and be open to the new ideas!

Teacher Growth Plans
Once your plan is developed, I will meet with you to discuss your plan and set your baseline by September 30th.
Beginning of the School Year Assessment Requirements
*Given that we have the 2:1 chromebooks in most classrooms, we will not create a schedule for all testing. I will let you as a team work on how you will flex your classroom chromebooks to accommodate testing - pulling chromebooks from 2 classrooms together to test, signing up for a chromebook cart to allow for testing, etc. Your team can be creative in designing a schedule to works for YOU!
