TAX CREDIT
Please consider making a Tax Credit donation. The Arizona tax credit program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows a tax credit of up to $200 for individuals and up to $400 for married couples, filing jointly, in support of extracurricular activities. The tax credit reduces your tax burden to the state of Arizona, dollar for dollar. It also reduces your taxable income to the federal government, usually by 1/3 of your donation. You can submit online here or in the front office.
SPREAD THE WORD - OPEN ENROLLMENT
Open Enrollment applications are accepted throughout the year for current or next school year. For applicants applying for the 2019-2020 school year, apply before December 15, 2018 for priority consideration to be accepted to the school of choice. Applications submitted after that date will be reviewed and approved if the school has availability. Please share with family and friends!

All Things E.Q.
Hello Parents,
The motto for this week in school is:
The cure for boredom is curiosity!
If you ask your child to be curious in school and you are greeted with an eye roll and a "yeah right" attitude it may be time to explain the concept of keeping an open mind.
Sometimes we predetermine how we think something will go, in other words we close our minds to a different possibility because we think we are right. If our children think:
Homework is horrible.
Being right about this may create a horrible homework experience.
If we think:
Mondays are terrible.
We may be right. We may dislike Mondays, but is this something we want to be right about?
Keeping an open mind means you are willing to stay curious and believe a better outcome can occur. The truth is there are some things we don't want to be right about, and for our kids, it's most likely: homework, mornings, chores and siblings.
We can be right about our judgements and be miserable, or we can be curious. Maybe today homework will be easy, chores will go quickly, and my siblings will be fun. Maybe not, but maybe. Keep hope alive by encouraging your kids to keep an open mind. After all, do they want to be right about their judgements? Or do they want to be happy?
Keep curiosity alive,
Danna Evans
