Community Resources
SAUSD FACE Newsletter: September 17, 2021
Dear SAUSD Community,
Community plays an important role in every aspect of our lives. We have communities in our families, friends, work, neighborhoods, and so many other places. We even, find community within the sports teams we support or the vocal artist we enjoy listening during our morning commute. Being part of a community makes us feel as we are part of something greater than ourselves. It gives us the opportunity to connect with people, reach our goals and make us feel safe and secure.
As a part of the SAUSD community, we are part of a group of people who are willing to help one another, additionally it is a place of opportunity. I have witness the countless opportunities to allow families, students, staff and community partners to grow together.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to the SAUSD community for being there and making me feel that I am a part of something greater. Stay well, healthy and safe!
Sincerely,
Rosana Martinez

SAUSD Covid-19 Resources Page
Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) is dedicated to providing a safe environment for all our students and staff. We are maximizing the safety of our school sites and offices by keeping track of COVID-19 cases, conducting contact tracing, informing parents/staff members of confirmed COVID-19 cases, offering COVID-19 testing, following CDC, state and local health department guidelines, and implementing high standards on cleaning.
The Covid-19 Resources page is available to provide information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, services available for parents, students, and staff affected by a possible COVID-19 exposure, and the current SAUSD COVID-19 guidelines and requirements.

Facemasks Required!
In accordance with current CDC/State & Local Health Department Guidelines, ALL individuals, regardless of COVID-19 vaccine status, are required to wear a facemask while INDOORS at schools. SAUSD is also requiring ALL individuals to wear facemasks indoors at our administrative offices, such as the Chestnut District Office, Support Services Office, and Building Services offices, regardless of COVID-19 vaccine status. A face shield is NOT a substitute for a facemask, but can be used as an additional layer of protection.

SAUSD Attendance Matters
Please join us in our effort to promote the importance of attendance since we know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your student’s education. We ask that you guide and support your student’s learning by promoting school attendance in the home by:
1) Ensuring student attends school daily, on time, and is ready to learn.
2) Following a consistent bedtime routine ensuring the student gets proper rest and sleep.
3) Removing technology devices to minimize nighttime distractions. If possible, do not have computers or television where the student sleeps.
4) Setting an alarm clock to help your student wake up in the morning.
5) Making sure that student has backpack, Chromebook, and school supplies the night before to ensure an easy transition when leaving the home in the morning.
