Nova Singers High Tea Fundraiser
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on the Nova Singers website www.novasingers.com, or by contacting Nova Singers at 309-341-7038 or nova@knox.edu. Seating is limited. Reservations must be made by April 1.
Enjoy tea and savories at the Nova Singers High Tea, Saturday, April 8, from 2 – 3:30 pm at First Lutheran Parish House, 1600 20th Street, Rock Island, Illinois. This fundraising event for Nova Singers will feature a variety of teas, pastries and Lagomarcino chocolates, entertainment and a tour of the historic house.
Built in 1901 by Stuart and Grace Velie Harper (granddaughter to John Deere) the rambling two-story home is considered to be in the Prairie Style, but has Craftsman and colonial Revival details. The Y-shaped house wraps around a large patio with original Prairie-style lanterns.
Nova Singers is a 20-voice chamber choir dedicated to the highest standards of choral performance, founded in Galesburg in 1986 by Dr. Laura Lane. The group performs eight concerts a year in Galesburg and the Quad Cities. This fundraiser will help support their spring concert, A Cappella Masterworks featuring Rachmaninoff’s Vespers and the Martin Mass.
