A Message From Mr. Hofer

Dear Parents and Caregivers:

The cold weather has arrived - students should have a coat, hat, and gloves with them every day and if they want to play in the snow they also need boots and snow pants. Dressing in layers is a great strategy.

If the windchill is greater than 10 degrees students will be outside for recess.

If you find your family needs assistance with coats, hats, gloves/mittens, please contact Jill Woulf at jwoulf@geneseoschools.org.

If adjustments to the school day are made all communication will be sent out to your contact information that is in Skyward. If you need to update your information, please contact Mrs. Melcher at (309) 945-0699 or email her at jmelcher@geneseoschools.org.	Important Dates December 9th- 1/2 Day Teacher Institute (Students dismissed at 11:30) December 20- Southwest Christmas Programs December 23- January 8th- Christmas Break January 9- School Resumes January 16-Martin Luther King Day (No School) January 27- Full Day Teacher In-Service (No Student Attendance)	Pick Up & Drop Off Southwest Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures *It would help us a great deal if car riders and walkers were not dropped off or arrived until after 8 a.m. We understand that may not be possible but we appreciate your consideration. Any students showing up before 7:30 a.m. will be sent to SAFE and the parents will be required to pay the SAFE daily fee. Buses don't begin dropping off until after 7:30.
