The Fort Report
February 4, 2022
Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe we are in the second month of 2022! February promises to be a busy month at Fort Daniel. Also, I encourage you to take a moment to look at the PTA upcoming March events listed under PTA below. Please consider volunteering. Our PTA provides support for our students, parents and staff in many ways including hosting special events. PTA functions completely on the time and efforts of volunteers and is a great opportunity for you to stay connected, be involved in school activities, and support students, and staff while connecting with other parents. I am excited about all that the PTA has planned for Fort Daniel students, families and staff and hope you will join in the excitement by volunteering and supporting our PTA.
Proud to be Your Principal,
Dr. Barbara Tucker

Car Rider Safety Reminder!
For the Safety of Students, Staff & Parents:
- Please remember that our FDES Car Rider Lane is one lane. There is no "passing" other cars unloading students while in the car rider lane. This presents a safety hazard.
- Please be sure to stay in your vehicle when loading and unloading students. Again, this presents a safety hazard when not followed.
Thanks in advance for your understanding in helping us to keep your children safe!
Missing Records Request from Our Registrar
We are in the process of placing students for the 2022-2023 school year. Per GCPS Policy, students with incomplete records have been withdrawn from the 2022-2023 school year and will not be placed in a class until records are complete. A letter was sent home last week. Once documents are turned in, your child will be re-enrolled and placed in a class.
If you have any questions, please call Magaly Gilbertson, SDMC/Registrar #770-932-7400
Important Permissive Transfer Information from our Registrar
