Welcome!

Band Social at Spare Time
Our annual Band Social at Spare Time for all band students is coming up next week on Tuesday, November 15. The times will be from 5:00-7:00pm and the band program will provide 2 slices of pizza and unlimited drinks for all band students FREE! We will need approved parent chaperones for this event, and you can sign up on the Sign-Up Genius link here. Please Note: We will be providing pizza and drinks only to the first 15 parent chaperones that sign up on the link above. There are currently 10 spots for chaperones remaining.
Directors and Chaperones will stop supervising students promptly at 7:15pm. At that time, parents will again assume the responsibility of their student whether or not they leave the facility at that time. If your student would like to participate in the Shaker's Backyard outside activities (go karts, ropes course, etc.), you as the parent will need to attend to supervise and sign the liability waiver. Directors and Chaperones will not be supervising these areas.

Next Performance - Holiday Concert
Our next performance is the Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 15 starting at 6:30pm in the Belton HS Performing Arts Center (PAC). This will be the first performance where students get to perform on stage set up in the whole Beginner's Ensemble, which is all 8 of our beginner classes put together in traditional concert band arcs. More details will be sent about this performance later when we get closer to the date.
In order to prepare for this combined performance, we will be having 2 after school group rehearsals. The first one will be on Monday, December 12 and the second the next day on Tuesday, December 13. Both rehearsals will take place in the Band Hall from 4:00-5:00pm. Students will need to have their ride pick them up by 5pm. A grade will be taken for participation in each of these rehearsals.
