Teacher Induction Program Employee Spotlight!
This month BSD TIP (Teacher Induction Program) is thrilled to spotlight Shana Watson. Shana’s dedication to lifelong learning has inspired both of the candidates she supports. Here is what they have to say:
“I have had the amazing opportunity to have Shana Watson as a mentor for the past two years. I cannot put into words how much I have grown under her guidance, support, and modeling. She always has an open door and is always willing to listen to me brainstorm. She asks questions that challenge me and leads me to think deeper. I have been so fortunate to see her model lessons, co teach with me, collect data for me, and provide beneficial feedback that allows me to adjust and grow. I consider her to be not only a role model, but a close friend as well. Shana, thank you so much for all that you do!" -Alyssa Wall
“Shana is an excellent support provider. From the start, she has made it a priority to provide insightful and instant feedback. As a mentee, her exceptional communication skills have been very helpful. Shana’s detailed feedback has assisted me to improve strategies delivered in the classroom, such as supporting students to be self-reflective in their own work. She has made every aspect of the Teacher Induction Program beneficial by connecting the work and it’s purposes. During every Individual Learning Plan cycle, she supported my goals to solve my chosen problems of practice by dissecting the problems, change ideas, and the research. Her hard work has not gone unnoticed this year. Thank you, Shana!” -Ashley Garcia
Thank you Shana for all you do!
