Pre-AP Science ~ Mrs. Sanchez and Ms. Marek

Marek: The last day for test corrections is Tuesday 10/31. See my tutoring schedule for availability or make an appointment with me personally. If you have not turned in last week’s SSEP Individual Reflection, please get it to me as late work. Any missing work needs to be competed this week as grades for the 6 weeks are due.This week we are continuing our Research Work in organisms and environments for our Project E.C.O. unit.

Accelerated Science ~ Mrs. Irons

This week we will be creating our products for our unit, The Elementals. These products will show students knowledge of atomic structure and the Periodic Table. We will present our products on Friday.

Pre-AP Math ~ Mrs. Justice, Ms. Gregg and Ms. Parker

We will continue working with comparing and ordering rational numbers. The Unit 3 test will be on Friday. Students will also continue to track their data so they can see the progress they are making in their learning to see if they are reaching their goals.

Accelerated Math ~ Mrs. Morgan

This week we will be finishing up our Unit over Geometry. We will be reviewing over Volume and students will have a test on Wednesday.

Humanities ~ Mrs. Moore, Ms. Lindamood, Mrs. Strother and Ms. Peden

Students will test over Canada, Conquest, and Cuba on Monday - October 30. The review is posted in Google Classroom and the bonus point opportunity must be completed before the test. We will then explore the concept of Dia de los Muertos as we begin our study of Latin America. Students are also completing their summative 5 paragraph essays this week as they demonstrate their mastery of comparing and contrasting skills.

Global Business and Professional Communication ~ Ms. Tedford and Ms. Owen

This week we are reflecting on what we have learned about presentation skills and having a growth mindset in Unit 1. Next week we are starting Unit 2. Students will develop their ability to work effectively with a team and accept shared responsibility for work. We will explore what it means to demonstrate professional standards and personal qualities like oral and written communication, leadership, teamwork, conflict management, customer service, work ethic, and adaptability. The students will be collaborating to achieve a common goal.

Art ~ Mrs. Beam


  • This week we will be working on our Value & Realism unit. Students will be completing a mixed media drawing of their eye focusing on detail, value, and the exterior anatomy of the eye. Due Wednesday.

  • Mrs. Beam & Mrs Dickerson will be out Thursday & Friday this week. All student work will be posted to Google Classroom.

  • Save the date! STEAM Holiday art show & Artome sale will take place on December 1st in the evening. More details to come.


Beginning Band ~ Mr. Sypert

We will be starting our sheet music for our winter concert this week and continuing our video assignments.

Great start to our soccer unit last week! Be ready for a wide variety of games incorporating soccer skills. Keep up the good work and let’s focus on improving our skills in class daily!
