Veterans Day 2018

Social Studies teachers Ms. Ball, Ms. Chase, Mrs. Crognale, Mr. Leiby, and Mr. Stanfield organized another outstanding Veterans Day presentation here at Log College on November 12th. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, a conflict called by many "The War to End All Wars."

This year we were fortunate enough to be joined by 49 veterans and their family members to be honored for their service to our country. Chorus members, under the direction of Mrs. Duchene, sang our National Anthem for the attendees and student body. All of our speakers shared a very important and powerful message: the freedoms that we enjoy every day came at a very heavy price and were shouldered by the servicemen and women who wear our country's uniform. Thank you to all of our veterans for their service!

Fall Sports

Our Fall sports season has officially concluded with a tough loss of our football team to a very competitive Klinger team. The Log boys led through the first half, but gave up two touchdowns in the second half, with a final score of 16-8. Great season boys!

Our Winter sports teams are now forming. Stay tuned for more information regarding Log's athletics program!

Conferences

Conferences will take place next week on Tuesday, November 20 from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday, November 21 from 8 AM to 12 PM. Your child's teacher should have reached out to you to request a conference if needed. If you would like to meet with your child's teacher(s), there are a limited number of available slots. Please contact your child's teacher(s) if you wish to meet with them. You can always request to meet teachers outside of conference times as well.

Absence Procedures

Please be sure to turn in absence excuse notes within three (3) days of your child's return to school. Absences will remain unexcused until notes or turned in or if the three day window is exceeded. If your child has 10 or more cumulative days of absence, a doctor's note is required for all absences past 10 days.

Absence excuse notes can also be emailed to Log College at the following address:

For family trips during the school year, a Family Trip Request Form must be submitted to the Principal at least two weeks (10 school days) prior to your trip. All requests submitted less than 10 days prior will be denied.
