ABE News
- Are you struggling to meet the attendance requirement for your ABE class because of work or childcare responsibilities?
- Are you enrolled in an ABE class, but would like to increase your skills and advance more quickly?
- Do you have any friends or neighbors who want to attend school, but don't have a lot of time?
ABE now has a Distance Learning class! You meet with a teacher at a personalized appointment time once per week, and then study at home for a minimum of 4 additional hours outside of class, with the use of our online software program. The program can be accessed from anywhere you have access to an Internet connection.
Please talk to your ABE teacher about whether Distance Learning would be appropriate for you. Please also tell your friends and neighbors about this program and encourage them to come into the Adult School for placement testing with the counselor.
ESL News
ESL students make a plan for when you can study and practice your English. Every unit is full of new vocabulary words and it takes practice to memorize them. Flash cards are a great way to practice new vocabulary. Spelling is also important. Pay attention to the little things and pretty soon, you'll be talking and laughing with friends and family--in English! Make a date with a friend to practice your new English vocabulary and have fun!
