From the Principal~
I hope everyone is enjoying the snow day! This is our second snow day and as a reminder, after our 3rd traditional snow day we will move to remote days should school be cancelled due to inclement weather. Teachers will be sending home information in the next week, but below is an outline of what to expect on a remote school day.
1. You will receive a schedule and zoom links. Students will also have a schedule with links in the back flap of their communication folders. This information will be sent in the next week.
2. A snow day packet will be sent home for safe keeping. The teacher will send a REMIND message letting you know it has been sent. This packet should be used if you cannot access the internet OR if we have an unexpected snow day cancellation.
3. If we have any advance notice of a snow storm and potential cancellation may occur, we will send home a charged iPad with K-6 students to access their zooms from their teacher, specialists, special ed program, enrichment, interventions, etc. Teachers will send home a REMIND letting you know the ipad has been sent.
4. We ask that ipads be returned to school the next school day.
5. If a snow day packet was used, we ask that it is returned the next school day. If it was not used because your child attended remotely, please keep the packet for a potential future snow day.
We will continue to communicate with you regarding remote snow days. Please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher with any questions.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Beaudet

Attendance Reminder
As a school we are always working to improve our attendance. If your child is going to be out of school, we ask that you call to let us know. If calls are not made to the school the absence is documented as unexcused. After 5 consecutive unexcused absences OR 7 TOTAL unexcused absences throughout the year, students are considered truant. Maine School Law requires school districts to track student attendance and report students that have habitual truancy.
