Thank you Brevard!

On behalf of the more than 9,000 employees and 70,000 students who make up Brevard Public Schools, we want to express our sincere appreciation to the voters of Brevard County who supported an extension of the sales surtax for another six years.

With this extension, BPS will build on the progress we’ve made with renewed focus on repairing our aging facilities and infrastructure, upgrading our technology and further enhancing school security. Our commitment to the taxpayers is that we will continue to allocate, spend, and manage your money with transparency and fidelity; just as we’ve done since the surtax was first initiated in 2014.

5th and 6th Grade Strings

Manatee Elementary is pleased to announce the start of our Strings program. All care and safety will be taken to ensure a productive and safe environment for our 5th and 6th-grade students to learn violin, viola, cello, or string bass. Masks and distancing will be expected.

Classes will be held after school and students are required to make a one-year commitment. The cost for the year is $50 which includes the instrument rental, bow, case, and shoulder rest.

The deadline has been extended to Tuesday, November 10th. We will NOT have class on Wednesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day. If you have any questions, please e-mail Mrs. Sexton at sexton.shannon@brevardschools.org
