Mrs. Wilson's Language Arts Class

September 1-4

Week One

Well, we have one week down and it has been going great!

We did a lot of procedural activities. We set up our Readers and Writers notebooks, made a Classroom Declaration (Rules and expectations), and completed an on demand writing piece for narrative writing.

The on demand writing is like a pretest. It lets me see where each student is at in their writing and helps me plan for individual instruction. We will be writing one on demand each week for the next three weeks. Next week's on demand will focus on Informative Writing and the following week's focus will be on Argumentative Writing.

Students had a chance to go to the library on Thursday. It is now my expectation that they have a silent reading book with them daily.

KMS Weekly Plans Document

Something new this year at KMS is our Weekly Plans Document. This document is a way for parents to see all of their child's classes at one time. This document will list what is being covered on a daily basis as well as any assignments and tests for each class. I have listed the links below. Please make sure that you are looking at the correct teachers.
