Biomed IV and HOSA visit CJMS

On Friday Jan 27th HOSA and Biomed 4 students made the annual visit to CJMS and taught the health classes the negative effects of vaping on the body (brain and heart), as well as marketing strategies used by vape companies.

Each of the 3 student created stations provided 8th graders with the opportunity to understand the WHY of not vaping, rather than the traditional don't do it approach. The goal was to provide students with the knowledge needed to make smart choices.

GHS students taught 5 sections and did an amazing job presenting information and keeping students engaged with hands-on activities and visual aides.

City Seeks Input for West Side Community Center - Provide Your Input

The City is currently in the planning process for a new Bozeman Community Center which includes a library, an aquatics center, and a recreation facility on the west side of town. Right now the City is gathering information from a survey about what families would like to see, prior to this project being placed on the ballot for voting in November 2023.

The City is trying to gather feedback from as many westside residents as possible, and input from GHS families will be helpful as they move forward.

Here's a link to information and the survey: https://engage.bozeman.net/community

Thank you for providing your input!
