Good Afternoon WPMS-

We know that it has been a tough week for many of our students, families, and staff out of the building for illness. We know that missing class can cause some students stress. Please encourage your child to check their announcement page on the platform for current information or email their mentor teacher if they need support with making a plan to get caught up. Additionally, we will continue to offer both remote, and in-person, Academic Assistance on Tuesday & Thursday. See below for details. We have truly appreciated the respect and patience our students have demonstrated with our Guest Teachers this week. Our students and staff are amazing!

We hope all of you have a restful and healthy weekend! Please reach out with any questions and thank you for partnering with us to empower our students to be critical thinkers that will make a positive impact on the world.

Sincerely,

Yvonne & Erin

Volunteers Needed: Youth Prevention Collaborative

This school year the Youth Prevention Collaborative has worked to create fun and free youth activities during school breaks lasting three or more days. We are continuing to provide multiple activities that cater to youth of different age groups.

During our last Prevention Collaborative meeting, the group came up with some great family and youth activity ideas for the next school break, the week of February 21st. We have collaborated with members of the community, obtaining donations to provide the activities free of charge.

We are in need of volunteers to facilitate some of the activities for Middle School age kiddos. Each activity will last approximately two hours. The activities that we are still needing help are;

Pizza and Board Games, Movie Night (need chaperones), Tutoring, and Flag Football.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and/or would like to volunteer.

The Youth Prevention Collaborative meets weekly on Monday 9:00 AM, at the District office. Please feel free to attend. We are always looking for new and creative ideas for activities, and volunteers to help lead.
