Given the current community infection rate, and out of an abundance of caution, all high school students and staff in the Wauwatosa School District will return to school on January 3, 2022 in level 3: the level in which all schools have operated for the school year thus far, which dictates that masks are required for all individuals inside District buildings.

Student/Staff Quarantines:

When a positive case of COVID-19 is reported, all unvaccinated students and staff who shared a classroom with the COVID-19 positive individual must quarantine. When we return from break only students who have a COVID-19 related absence (COVID Positive or Close Contact) can zoom into classes.

All individuals who are unvaccinated and deemed a “close contact” are placed into a 10 day quarantine, but may return to school on day 8 if they receive a negative test result on day 6 or 7 of their quarantine. Individuals who are COVID-19 positive are placed into a 10-day quarantine without the ability to test to return.

We will continue to follow the procedures that have been in place this school year and are outlined in the Revised Re-Entry Plan. OPERATIONS & PROCEDURES for quarantine and positive testing begin on page 19-26

Highlighting cultural celebrations foster respect and open-mindedness for other cultures. This is a small, but great way to do so. Understanding the heritage and culture of others, we become more aware of our own culture. This leads to a deeper sense of pride and appreciation of the diversity of everyone.
