Little Rockets News!
Dear Families,
Please remember to contact the Washington School office if your child is going to be absent from school or you have a change for your child's usual dismissal procedures for the day.

The office will confirm that they received your email message and will get the message to your child's teacher. Please remember to give the office AT LEAST A ONE HOUR NOTICE if you have a change for end-of-day procedures.
Also, we have a new office EMAIL address: washingtonoffice@neenah.k12.wi.us
You can call the office at 920-751-6990 to speak with Ms. Calkins or leave a message.

News from the Library
Dear Parents,
During library this week, your child started learning the very basics of computer coding! You read that right -- coding computers!
To teach this important skill to our youngest students, we played a fantastic board game called Robot Turtles. With this board game, without even realizing it, students are laying the foundation for learning how to computer code. Ask your child how they got their turtle to the gem and what they had to do it they made a mistake.
A special thank you goes out to Mr. Marchionda, Ms. Connor, and Mr. Moore from our technology department as well as our amazing parent volunteers Jessica Burmeister, Nikki Winiecki, Tanya Schroeder, Stephanie Winkel & Richard Churchill. These special people came in to help make the activity run without any “computer bugs!”
Next week we will continue to code by using Bee-Bots, a programmable floor robot.
Sincerely,
Bethany Broeders
