Immaculée Ilibagiza Visits ICCS

International speaker and author, Immaculée Ilibagiza, a survivor of the 1994 Rwandan genocide that took the lives of her family and more than one million others, spoke to 5th-8th grade students on Wednesday. Immaculee's incredible message of faith, hope, healing and forgiveness was inspiring and spiritually moving for many. Abraham's Tent Donations

The ICCS Book Fair has been collecting donations for Abraham's Tent this week. TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY to send in your donations. Non-perishable food items and paper goods are being accepted.


Abraham's Tent serves free hot meals to the homeless and needy 365 days a year.

Grandparents Celebration NEXT WEEK

Our Grandparents' Day celebration will take place on Thursday, November 15th (PK-3rd grade) and Friday, November 16th (4th grade-8th grade). ICCS Panther Run Shirt Order

An additional 2018 ICCS Panther Run long-sleeve dri fit shirt order will be placed next week. Available shirt sizes include youth small, medium and large; women's x-small, small, medium and large and men's small, medium, large and x-large. All shirts are $20 each and can be paid for with cash or check (make checks out to ICCS PTO). CLASSROOM NEWS

Service Project Update

Our 1st grade students have completed a project based learning unit about animal defenses. Endangered sea turtles were studied throughout the unit. The students have decided to collect donations for the Sea Turtle Conservancy as their class service project.


Through sea turtle research, conservation and advocacy, the Sea Turtle Conservancy is addressing the threats to sea turtles and the natural habitats upon which they depend. Each person contributing a monetary donation to the conservancy will receive a bookmark designed and created by 1st grade.


Specific details regarding donations will be communicated soon. Please be on the lookout for more information in next week's Panther Press.

2nd Grade Retreat and First Reconciliation

Our 2nd graders participated in a special Reconciliation Retreat on Tuesday, helping them to prepare for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation that took place last night.


Thank you to Mrs. Lori Brown, Ms. Emily DeRouen, Mrs. Rose Viau and Father Rommel for leading our 2nd grade students on their sacramental journey throughout this year!

Fungi and Bacteria, OH MY!

Mrs. Brittany Ebersole's 7th grade students tasted a variety of foods that were produced with bacteria or fungi this week. Kimchi, mushrooms, bread and Brie cheese were on the menu. Bon Appetit!
