QUESTBRIDGE COLLEGE PREP SCHOLARS PROGRAM FOR JUNIORS
Applying to college can seem daunting, and the prospect of paying for it can seem even more overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. The College Prep Scholars Program equips high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to apply to top colleges.
Awards for College Prep Scholars may include:
- A full scholarship to a college summer program hosted by Emory, UChicago, Yale, and more.
- Quest for Excellence Awards, such as $1,000 for a new laptop or other resources to help the student enhance their college application.
- Exclusive access to a QuestBridge National College Admissions Conference — an invite-only event featuring workshops and a college fair with our college partners.
- Exclusive college essay workshop.
- Campus visits or other opportunities from QuestBridge college partners.
- Specialized guidance and resources for the college application process.
- Peer-to-peer support in an online community.
The application for the QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program will open in the next week. Please review all ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS and see Mrs. Stoudt (bstoudt@pennsburysd.org) if you are interested in applying!

Each year, Pennsbury High School can nominate 2 students to participate in the Morehead-Cain Scholarship competition for the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. This is an extremely competitive scholarship program and recipients are chosen after a lengthy application process. Your nomination from Pennsbury does not guarantee that you will receive the scholarship, nor does it guarantee that you will be accepted to UNC Chapel Hill.
The Morehead-Cain Scholarship is looking for students who embody their four pillars: leadership, character, scholarship, and physical vigor. You can read more about the scholarship HERE
In order to be considered to represent PHS as one of our two nominees, you MUST complete THIS QUESTIONNAIRE and return it to Mrs. Stoudt by May 31, 2024. You can email it (bstoudt@pennsburysd.org) or drop off a hard copy to room G100 @ PHS West.
