Holiday Parties
Our awesome Room Parents and PTO are organizing and sponsoring holiday parties for each classroom. See the schedule below.
You are welcome to attend, but please do not feel obligated since these parties are for the children and will be held in the small space of the classroom. So...truly don't worry if you choose to not attend. :-)
If you do elect to come to the party, we ask that only parents/guardians visit-no siblings please due to limited space.
Last Day for Toy Drive
Thank you to the many parents and staff who have already donated toys!
New Information
Treat Bags
Parents: We sincerely appreciate the generosity many of you have shown when sending in treat bags on holidays. Per the Elementary Student Handbook page 24, gifts, balloons, treat bags, and flowers are prohibited at school.
We hold two parties each year: 1) Holiday party 2) End of Year party, and the PTO will provide snacks and treats for all students.
We ask that you please do not send in goody bags or treat bags for your child's classmates for the upcoming holiday. Thank you for your understanding.
Happy Birthday!
Everyone loves to be recognized on their birthday! Now you can share a birthday message for your child on our school marquee for all to see.
Submit Birthday Marquee Request form (below) and $20.00 donation (cash or check payable to "Adolphus") to the office at least 2 weeks in advance of your students birthday. Birthday messages will appear on Marquee for one week beginning on Monday through Sunday. Below is the file to request a marquee message.
In addition, for $1.00 you can purchase a personalized Birthday Gram to celebrate your child's birthday. The Bulldog Broadcast Team will announce your child's birthday message on the announcements, and your child will receive an exclusive birthday spirit stick. Please drop by the front office to purchase yours.
No Cell Phone Use in School Zones
The use of cell phones within school zones is prohibited (unless used with a hands-free device) under Section 545.425 of the Texas Transportation Code.
In the past few months, Mrs. Boarman has seen several parents texting and talking on the phone (not hands free) while in the school zone. This is against the law, and you may receive a ticket for this offense. Please partner with us to keep YOUR kids safe!
Attendance Information
Please see the important attendance information below.
Student Safety to Prevent Unauthorized Entry
I am proud to say that unauthorized entry of visitors has not happened on our campus at all this year. Your children are reminded on the daily announcements to not open doors to any visitors. The students are doing a wonderful job following these directions.
Please see the district letter below regarding safety and unauthorized entry. I ask that you reinforce the message below to your children please.
Dear Adolphus Families,
As your principal, I remain committed to the safety and security of our campus and would like to request your cooperation and support with our students, which includes some important reminders about our visitor check-in process and consequences for failing to adhere to these procedures.
It’s important to understand that the visitor check-in process is in place to safeguard the well-being of everyone within our school community. Allowing unauthorized individuals into the school or using the wrong entrance poses a potential risk to the safety of our students and staff. All campus visitors must check-in at the campus front office. Throughout the building, all students and staff members must have their badge visible and should also use primary entrances.
Recently, it has come to our attention that some students are violating the visitor check-in process and allowing individuals to enter the campus through side doors and back doors. Beginning on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, any student permitting individuals into the school without proper check-in or through the wrong door will face disciplinary consequences, which will result in a three-day out-of-school suspension and/or other measures deemed necessary by campus administration.
To maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all, we kindly request your support in reinforcing these security measures with your student. Please contact me at sboarman@lcisd.org if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your partnership in upholding our safety standards.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Stacy Boarman

Label Jackets/Sweaters
Morning Drop Off
- 6:35-6:45-Once you see adult supervision outside the front doors, students exit the car independently and line up on either side of the front doors and receive a Bulldog Buck. If your child cannot open the door by themselves, please get in line at 6:45 AM or later.
- 6:45-7:15-Safey Patrol is on duty to open car doors for your child(ren).
- 7:15 or later-No Safety Patrol or staff will be outside. You will need to get your child into the front office safely. Students must get a tardy slip if they are not through the main hall double doors by the time the tardy bell rings.
Smart Tags
Parents, please be sure to create a Parent Portal Account in Smart Tag, to ensure that you know your student’s bus route, bus stops, and other important information to track your student while riding the bus to and from school. All information can be found here: https://www.lcisd.org/departments/support-services/transportation/smart-tag-information
Even if your child is not a bus rider, please create an account because this is how we reunite families in the event of an emergency.
Replacement tags cost $5.
Transportation
All parents will choose one mode of dismissal transportation for their child on a daily basis. We strongly encourage all parents to refrain from calling the front office for transportation changes this year unless it is an absolute need. Students do best when they have one consistent routine when going home, so we want to minimize changes as much as possible.
Though we have a solid system for managing the changes, there is a greater opportunity for mistakes because it is a change of routine. The last thing we want is confusion with your child getting home. Safety is our top concern. :-)
Set Your Child up for Success!
The students need to be through the front doors by 7:15 in order to not be counted tardy. If you arrive at 7:15 or after, your child will need to enter the main doors of the school to go through the front office to get their tardy slip. That is never a fun way to start their day, so please help get them to school ready for learning by 7:05 AM. :-)
All students in their seats will receive a Dojo point as an incentive to arrive at this time.
