NTMS Tardy Policy
TARDINESS: Punctuality is an important life skill and students who arrive late to school disrupt the learning environment for others. Transportation is provided for all students who live in the district, so arriving at school on time is an expectation.
*Tardies are excused if a doctor’s/dentist note is received by our office upon arrival.
Students who do not arrive on time will be subject to the following disciplinary steps:
First tardy per quarter: Warning to student
Second tardy per quarter: Warning to student/Letter to parent
Third & fourth tardy per quarter: Blue slip and detention assigned
Fifth tardy per quarter: Office referral/Honor Level III
*Please note-change to District policy-a doctor note is required to excuse a tardy.

Message From the District Nurse
Flu Shot and Vaccine Clinic
Flu Shot and Vaccine Clinic Monday, Nov 14, at NTMS for Students and Families; 2:30-6:15 pm
We are partnering with Walgreens Pharmacy to offer flu shots and the Moderna Covid bivalent booster (as well as Tdap vaccine for 7th graders, required for school attendance). Registration is required for an appointment, linked here. A separate registration time is required for each person in a family. Minors 17 years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Information:
Walgreens can bill for most major insurance plans, except for Molina and Amerigroup. Please bring your insurance card and wear short sleeves.
Please complete the consent for vaccination here and bring it to your appointment.
We will need to give Walgreens staff your student’s name and date of birth if you would like them to get a Tdap vaccine. Walgreens needs to verify insurance payment ahead of time for this vaccine only. We will notify you if they tell us it is not covered by insurance.
Walgreens is able to administer flu shots to anyone age 3 and older (all flu vaccine is preservative free), Moderna Covid bivalent boosters to anyone age 6 and older, and Tdap to students age 11 and older.
Please bring your Covid vaccination card if you would like a Moderna Covid booster, and your student’s vaccination record for the Tdap vaccine.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month!
Did you know that about 244,000 children and adolescents in the United States are living with Type 1 diabetes? Children are often very ill by the time they are diagnosed. Listed below are symptoms that may indicate Type 1 diabetes. Please contact your child’s primary care provider if you have concerns.
