Whitney Families-
We hope that everyone had a restful spring break and that you are ready to finish the year strong. We had an amazing start back to school in March with ALL of our students K-5. Thank you to all of YOU for making this transition back to school amazing for our students. We appreciate the patience, grace and teamwork you have shown us in getting our students back into the classroom. The parking lot has been fun with our 4 lane system. Thank you for working with us to make this a positive and safe transition in order to make sure all cars are off of Nob Hill during our busy drop off and pick up times.
Just a reminder that we only offer Hybrid learning at Whitney. If you are not able to attend at least two days a week please make sure you sign up for Edgenuity through Discovery Lab. Please call our office for more information at 573-1900. This is not just a Whitney rule but a district-wide system in place.
VERY IMPORTANT - the days your child is not at school in person they still need to log in with their teacher in the afternoon. They also need to do their Imagine Math and any other assignments assigned through google classroom by their teacher. Logging in is so important to connect with their teacher that we are offering an incentive. If your child logs in 3 out of 4 times in the month of April, we will have an all school Skateland party where skating is FREE for your child. Date is TBD.
If you have any questions for us feel free to reach out. You can ask any question on the district's Lets Talk app or call our office at any time.
Please continue to watch our Facebook page (link below) as well as our Whitney web page at ysd7.org/Whitney, for regular updates about what is happening at Whitney.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Newell and Mr. Hunt
