Daily Announcements, Wednesday, December 16th, B Day for Group 1
Written announcements:
CBE is participating in a “Coin War” to help fund the Great Plains Food Bank before we leave for break to make up for our usual Fill the Dome competition. Students have today and tomorrow to bring in as many coins (and bills) as they can to fill their team’s jug in the library. The coins that are brought in count as plus (+) for your team, if you put bills in a different advisory’s jug, it will count as negative (-) for that team. The team with the most amount of (+) money brought in will get the opportunity for someone from that advisory class to pie a teacher before we leave for Winter Break.
7th and 8th grade boys, basketball will begin as soon as we start school after the holiday break. You should have received an email yesterday requesting you to complete a google document regarding basketball. Virtual academy students are welcome to participate as well.
FCA meeting this week on Friday, December 18th from 8:15 am to 9:00 am. Please email Mr. Rudie for the Zoom code.
This is a reminder for all 8th grade students to check their email and complete the google form to order their t-shirt from South High. The t-shirts are adult men sizes. This is for all 8ttu grades students, which includes Virtual Academy students. The deadline to order is this Friday, December 18th.
This is the final week for Pop Open A Good Book. SPORTS is the genre being highlighted this week. A sport is the critical element in the story, but the story can include problems that arise within that sport or problems that athletes face in general. Come to the library and check out one of the many sports novels available. Pop Open a Good Book ends this Friday. Hopefully, you have enjoyed hearing about all of the genres in the library the past few weeks. Stop in today to find your next best read! Make sure you get your reading logs handed in so you can receive your bag of popcorn and have the chance to add your name to the drawing for prizes. Prizes will be announced next Monday the 21st and Tuesday the 22nd.
Reminder of winter break: No School December 24th through January 3rd. School will resume on Monday, January 4, 2021.
Rehearsals will begin today for Group 1 students for the 7th/8th grade production, and tomorrow for Group 2 students. VA students will rehearse with the group they would be in, based on their last name, red or yellow!
The performances will be on March 5th and 6th. Rehearsals will go from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Keep in contact with Mr. Nielsen, as rehearsals may be shortened to 5:00 PM.
Happy Birthday to: Cooper C., Ruby H. Brynn K. Ava M.
