Return to In-Person Instruction
A few things to remember...
Welcome Back
We have been waiting months for this day. We are so excited that our students are coming back...hopefully, this time for good. Since we have all done this before, this newsletter is just a reminder of some of the important aspects regarding in-person instruction. As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call the Kipling School office. We would be happy to help. The information below is not new, but please read through it anyway so it is fresh in your mind.
Required - Daily Self-Certification
All families must complete the daily self-certification form by 7:45 am (for both am/pm sessions). A different form is required for each student. Please enter your child's first and last name as it appears in Family Access. The links below will take you to the daily self-certification forms. Save these to your computer or phone.
*Kipling AM Self Certification
*Kipling PM Self Certification
I ask that you please find a system or strategy (e.g. tape the QR codes below to your garage door, set a timer, bookmark the links above etc.) to assist you in remembering to complete the self-certification by 7:45 am. The self certification is one of the most important mitigations we use to keep our students and staff safe.
If your child does not have a self-certification form on file, our morning supervisors will be required to perform a temperature check and ask your child the same questions that are on the self-certification form before he or she will be allowed to enter the building.
Also, please keep in mind, if your child does not feel well while he or she is at school, the nurse will go down your child's classroom to make an assessment. If your child's symptoms are new or not the norm, we will call home immediately and ask you to pick your child up. If you have multiple children at Kipling School, if one is sent home, they all will be sent home.
If reporting your child sick, please call the main office or Mrs. Szabo, our school nurse (847-948-5151).
If your child is sick
If your child needs to quarantine, we do have quarantine teachers who will provide math and reading instruction to your child. Reading instruction will be from 11:15-12:00 and math instruction will be from 3:40-4:25. The use of our quarantine teachers needs to be approved by the building principal prior to use. Please check with Mr. Elbert if your child is in need of this service.

Bus riders will walk out to their buses as soon as they are called.
Non-bus riders will head to locations in the school to await their names being called.
If you are walking to pick up your child, please wait socially distant from others by either the front door or the 5th grade door toward the end of the circle drive (please remember to wear a mask).
Having a sign with your child's name (children's names) and grade level is very helpful and will also mean that you will be able to keep the warm air in your car by not having to lower your window.
Please continue to move forward whenever possible.
