Happy Pi and Saint Patrick's Day!
It was nice to get back to the business of learning this week! March 14th in the math world is called Pi Day in honor of the fantastic number 3.14 (can you tell I used to teach math). On this Pi day we had a group of educators from two other districts checking out our math classes. This is part of a collaborative MA project called the Applied Learning Leadership Institute. It was great to see some different math activities happening around the school - thanks to our teachers and students for letting us check them out!
It looked very green around CMS today with everyone in their St. Patrick's Day Gear!
The Second Annual Tyler Lawrence Basketball Tournament
The tournament is heating up! All grades have had at least one round. All of the kids gave it their all in round 1 - congrats to our teams that made it to round two!
Rock-Paper Scissors Tournament
From Wednesday March 13th to Friday March 15th CMS held a school wide Rock, Paper, Scissors Contest! Over 3 days students and teachers challenged each other to win the other person's beads with $25 gift card prizes given to one student in each grade and a teacher too! Congratulations to Jean Steven Saint Germain (6th), Bishoy Aboushosha (7th), Giada Farioli (8th), and Ms. Deb Harding (6th grade Science Teacher)!
We're all so excited to do this again next year!

Yearbook Request!
Dearest 8th grade parents and guardians, please send us photos of your child and their friends from over the years to put into the blast from the past section of the 8th grade yearbook! Please send it with your child’s name (first and last), age (when the photo was taken), and current team color. It’s a fantastic way to embarrass your little bundles of joy! We know you’ve been waiting to leak these pictures and end their social lives, and this is a great way to do just that! All jokes aside, please send us these photos of your child and friends from when they were younger by February 15th to cmsyearbook@norwood.k12.ma.us. Thank you and Much love, Yearbook club 2023-2024
