END OF YEAR TESTING TIPS AND PRACTICE
Star360- End of Year (EOY) Testing & State Testing
With end-of-year testing coming up we wanted to provide some tips, practice questions, and practice tests that can be done at home.
Star Testing- this is an important time for learning coaches to be in the room with their student while they test. Although you cannot help them on the test, you can encourage them to read carefully, work out math problems, and try their best. Learning coaches can monitor their student and make sure they are paying attention and not rushing through the test. I also like to encourage students to read the stories and questions out loud. This usually helps younger students to better comprehend what they are reading. An adult in the room helps them to stay focused instead of just guessing and moving on to the next question.
State Testing- The Oklahoma State Testing window begins April 15th for students in 3rd grade. Teachers and students will be in and out of live Class Connects as they attend in-person testing. Please check your emails and announcements for days that your teacher will be out of the office for testing. When students have in-person testing, they will still have OLS assignments they are responsible for completing.
It is very important that students try their best on these tests in order to show they are ready for 4th grade. Please discuss with your child prior to testing that it is important that they stay focused and try their best!
Please take some time to practice the review/test prep and complete the OSTP Practice Test below with your student. Students have been assigned a practice test for ELA and Math in Progress Learning as well.
TGA's (Teacher Graded Assignments)
Quarter 4 TGA's
