A Message from Mrs. Fortunato
Friday, November 18 and November 23
Dear Parents,
Our traditional Thanksgiving Day feast was delicious! Thank you, Mrs. Betsker, and the crew of volunteers, for providing such a beautiful luncheon. Our day was super special. We all enjoyed the experience, including Father Jay, Father Keith, and Father Ariel! We are truly grateful! Thank you to all the families for your generous donations of food. ICS collected and delivered 1,246 lbs. of food to the Open Cupboard Food Pantry in Clinton. Go ICS!
I believe that the success of our school is built on a foundation of mutual respect and inclusiveness. Every day, dedicated teachers and staff nurture a culture of fairness, love and caring, all focused on the teachings of Jesus. Our goal of providing a safe learning environment that fosters spiritual growth, academic excellence, and moral integrity for our students and families is held in high regard. Immaculate Conception School is committed to maintaining this focus and supporting our families during the school day and beyond.
I am happy to announce and welcome Mrs. Claire Rothstein, as our new kindergarten teacher! As some of you know, Mrs. Woodhull needed to take a medical leave of absence back in September which led to her resignation. I encourage our community to continue to pray for Mrs. Woodhull's recovery. I would also like to thank Ms. Yandoli for covering as interim kindergarten teacher as we searched to fill the position.
As we prepare to gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to extend a message of gratitude to you for the investment you make every day for your children to attend our school and receive a Catholic education. On behalf of Father Keith, Father Ariel, and our entire ICS Faculty and Staff, I hope you have a lovely and Happy Thanksgiving. Please be assured that you are in our thoughts and prayers with deep gratitude.
I found this in one of my readings and feel it is a simple way to celebrate Thanksgiving:
· Count your blessings instead of your crosses.
· Count your gains instead of your losses.
· Count your joys instead of your woes.
· Count your friends instead of your foes.
· Count your smiles instead of your tears.
· Count your courage instead of your fears.
· Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
· Count your health instead of your wealth.
· Count on God instead of yourself!
My next newsletter will be published December 3rd! May God continue to bless you abundantly!
God’s blessings,
Mrs. Fortunato
