SODEXO FUTURE CHEFS COMPETITION
The Port Angeles School District (PASD) recently hosted the Future Chefs cooking contest sponsored by Sodexo. After a hiatus since 2019, the event highlighted the creativity and cultural heritage of PASD's young chefs. Students in grades 4-6 submitted recipes and prepared unique salads with Sodexo's assistance. School board members, community members, and Superintendent Marty Brewer served as judges.
The grand prize winner was Sophia Gallegos from Jefferson Elementary with her recipe "Chicken Salad a la Mexicana."
Other winners included Sydney Fellin, Cohen Newlon, William Nesberg, Sienna Fellin, Gabriel Shiepko, and Logn Wasnock. PASD extends gratitude to all involved, especially Sodexo, for promoting healthy living and cultural appreciation among students.
