Cohort 2 Team Training

Description
This professional development opportunity will provide education leaders with a comprehensive overview of the Check & Connect model and equip them to implement the program effectively in their schools.
An introductory webinar was provided in December to teach participants about the foundations of Check & Connect, including its research-based components and how they promote student success.
Teams will attend two face-to-face sessions with team members where leaders will gain strategies for identifying students who would benefit from Check & Connect and matching them to trained mentors. Presenters will guide leaders through interactive activities and real-world examples while tailoring the program to meet their schools' unique needs. The second day will concentrate on data collection, progress monitoring, and evaluating outcomes. Team members will receive the Check & Connect Implementing with Fidelity workbook and resources to plan for the Fall of 2024 implementation in their school/district.
Leaders will leave the series with the knowledge and skills to launch Check & Connect or strengthen existing programs in their schools and districts. By connecting the dots, we'll build an understanding of this research-validated approach for keeping students engaged and on the path to graduation.

A team from your school/district will submit an application of commitment to participate and identify team members who will attend two additional, full-day, face-to-face trainings. PREREQUISITE: A team member must have viewed the introductory webinar found at this link.
