EB Principle: Love Your Passengers
As this month’s principle comes to a close, we must talk about one of the important parts of Loving Our Passengers: Forgiveness. Even the best of friends get in arguments or hurt each other’s feelings sometimes. When this happens, one of the best ways we can love our passengers is by saying sorry. Sometimes, saying sorry is enough to end a fight and repair a friendship! By taking responsibility for our mistakes and promising to learn from them, we can all do a better job of loving our passengers!

Reminder for Cold and Flu Season
Sick children do not perform well in class and can expose their classmates to a virus or other illness. If your child complains that he/she does not feel well, please check his/her temperature before sending him/her to school. If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or more before you give him/her Tylenol, Advil, Motrin or some other appropriate fever-reducing medication, keep your child at home.
Your child should not return to school until he/she has been fever-free without the help of Tylenol or another product for 24 hours. When your child does come back to school, he/she should go by the nurse’s office and have his/her temperature checked before going to his/her classroom.

2nd Grade Ranger Robics
During the month of February, our 2nd grade Rangers can participate in Ranger Robics. Ranger Robics sessions will be held in the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
RCE Needs M.E.N at Work
M.E.N. at Work, standing for Meeting Each Need, is a community-involvement program, unique to RCE, which will encourage and promote volunteerism among fathers, grandfathers and other male community members. Through this program, we aim to better support and meet the needs of our students, as well as better identify and utilize resources and members within our community.
This program will kick off the morning of Tuesday, December 19th, with M.E.N at Work volunteers helping to open car doors! You will recognize these volunteers by their bright orange vests. After the holiday break, this will continue on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, and will likely expand to other volunteer opportunities.
Interested in joining M.E.N. at Work? Reach out to our school counselors via phone or email!

Car Line Safety Reminder
As we return to our school routines, we must remember to keep our Rangers safe during morning drop off and afternoon pickup. For the safety of our children, please...
- refrain from texting or talking on phones in moving car lines.
- do not drop off children in parking lots.
- make sure to walk children all the way across the crosswalk.
Please share this with the person who brings or picks-up your child from school.
