WWYD? (What Would Yogi Do?)
Recently, I came to a fork in the road and decided to take it. My husband's job was eliminated, due to COVID, and he retired a few years ahead of schedule. Since the last year and a half has made it very clear that the future ain't what it used to be, we agreed that I should retire too, so we could start doing all of our "someday" things now. So, as of October, I'll be taking a two hour nap from one to four any time I feel like it.
People keep asking what we're going to do and, while I've heard that if you don't know where you're going, you'll end up someplace else. It's a hard time to make plans, so we're going with the words of another purveyor of silly-sounding wisdom, If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there. If all goes well, although we expect to start with camping, eventually we'll be traveling to hotels where the towels are so thick I can't close my suitcase. And, of course, checking out lots of books from my local library and having time to actually read them!
Many thanks for making this a great job for so long. As I always say, libraries are about people and you have been some wonderful people to work for.
All the best,
Annie

Booker Prize
It seems like there are a million literary prizes out there. I have never been able to keep up, but I have always found great reads on the Booker list.
