Nominees for 2020-2021 officers due June 15

It is time to identify OFFICERS for our club. We are seeking a President, a Vice President, Secretary, and Online Moderating Officer. The term will be one year: July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
If you are interested, please self-nominate by sending a short summary that includes:
- Your major (indicate level as well – bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral)
- Number of credits you have completed.
- Why you are interested in the position
- What skills you feel qualify you for the position
- If you would like a picture to accompany your information on the ballot please also submit.
*All included information will be included on the election ballot and pre-informational posts to the members about the upcoming election.
**Note that you MUST be a current student at Ashford to be nominated.
***This could be included on your resume as an academic activity/service.
ALUMNI: We will be looking for Alumni Advisors for the group in the future. Please continue to check in on all of the great changes coming.

Duties:
President
i. Works directly with the Faculty Advisory Board (FAB) to coordinate the activities of the organization.
ii. Liaison to the Ashford University Psych Club Members
iii. Official representative of the organization
iv. In coordination with the FAB , calls regular and special meetings
v. Presides at meetings
vi. In coordination with the FAB, prepares agenda for meetings
vii. Regularly posts in the LinkedIn Psych Club room, sharing academic information and encouraging members
viii. Assists in monitoring chats of live meetings (e.g. symposium presentations)
ix. Engages with the FAB and other officers as needed.
x. Attends Ashford University Officer club meetings when available
Vice-President
i. Assumes duties of President, when necessary
ii. Assists the President and FAB in coordinating events and their duties as noted above
iii. Assists in monitoring chats of live meetings (e.g. symposium presentations)
iv. Regularly posts in the LinkedIn Psych Club room, sharing academic information and encouraging members
v. Engages with the FAB and other officers as needed.
vi. Attends Ashford University Officer club meetings when available
Secretary
i. Maintains accurate and current information of the organization and membership.
ii. Assists President, Vice-President, and FAB in coordinating activities.
iii. Keeps accurate minutes of each meeting and forwards copies to other officers and the FAB.
iv. Keeps attendance records for meetings
vi. Assists in monitoring chats of live meetings (e.g. symposium presentations)
vii. Regularly posts in the LinkedIn Psych Club room, sharing academic information and encouraging members
viii. Engages with the FAB and other officers as needed.
ix. Attends Ashford University Officer club meetings when available
Online Moderating Officer
i. Manages the Psychology Club’s discussion forums (i.e. LinkedIn), including responding to any violations of Psychology Club Code of Conduct as identified by the Moderator or other members regarding discussion forum usage, reporting any violations immediately to the officers and FAB.
ii. Assists in monitoring chats of live meetings (e.g. symposium presentations)
iii. Attends Ashford University Officer club meetings when available
About the Psych Club
The Psych Club is a great way to get involved in the behavioral sciences department at Ashford. Psych Club provides opportunities to attend lectures, social events, and networking opportunities for our members. We welcome all majors and alumni of Ashford to become members.
