2024 - 2025 Class Placement
In the midst of all of the RSES happenings, behind the scenes our staff is actively planning for next school year. We will accept emails from parents that help guide class placement for next year in order to ensure your child is in the best learning environment possible.
Parents may submit an email to Matt Gams that lists special characteristics of your child or teacher qualities that would best suit your child's needs. All letters must be submitted to Matt Gams, Principal, by Friday, April 19th. Please note that letters may not request an individual teacher.
Thank you for your understanding so that our team can make the best placement possible for your child.
Hold on to those car tags!
Car tags were distributed at the beginning of the school year. The number on your car tag will remain the same for the 2024-2025 school year.
⚠️We suggest you redeem your tickets as soon as your student reads 4 books before the game is sold out. You will receive an email with your tickets at least 24 hours prior to the game.⚠️
School Improvement Council Nominations
WHAT IS SIC?
The School Improvement Council (SIC) serves as an advisory committee for the school. Unlike voluntary school organizations, the SIC is mandated by law to exist in every public school in South Carolina. SICs play a key role in bringing together parents, educators and community stakeholders to collaborate on the improvement of River Springs.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
This group meets once a month and serves as an advisory board to the principal. The SIC helps to establish initiatives, approves the school budget, and gives input to the principal on a variety of issues. Read the 2022-2023 SIC Report.
HOW CAN I HELP?
River Springs is actively seeking to fill 3 (three) elected position on our School Improvement Council (SIC) for the 24-25 school year.
If you are interested in being a part of this group, please email Matt Gams, Principal, with a short bio. All interested applicants will be placed on a ballot to be voted on by the parents. Once the ballots are counted, the candidate receiving the most votes will join the SIC in the fall. Don't miss your opportunity to be a part of this dedicated group to our school!
Nominations are due Friday, April 28th.
