Did You Know ....
A significant amount of work took place this summer involving our school facility. The artificial
grass was replaced on our playground, the surface and fence were redone on our preschool
playground, the sound system was upgraded, and a major HVAC solution was started in our
school. The HVAC solution made possible through the Elementary and Secondary School
Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER), a Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) grant, and district
funds, provide a complete overhaul of the school HVAC system. The project, contracted
through Millig Design Build, will be completed in January when additional units arrive that will
cool and condition the temperatures in the fieldhouse, cafetorium, and temper air throughout
the school building. The crews working on our building this summer put in some late nights and
weekends to ensure the building was ready for the start of the school year. The first phase of
the project, which brings cooling to classrooms, is for the most part complete. This has allowed
our students and staff to have cool, comfortable rooms to start this school year. So, our school
can now be considered cool from a temperature standpoint and for many other reasons that
include our students, staff, families, and programs.
