Welcome Back Trojans!
Fife High School Fall 2022 Welcome Back Letter
Welcome Back Trojans!
August 8, 2022
Dear Fife Families,
I am beyond honored and thrilled to say that I am the new Principal of Fife High School. I have loved serving the students, community, and staff of Fife High School for the last six years as one of the assistant principals and can not wait to take on this new role. I am thankful to have worked with such a great administrative team and especially to have been able to work so closely with Brandon over the last four years. This time has helped to prepare me to take over as principal. I love that Fife High School and the community are so welcoming and caring. I love that Fife takes pride in academics, athletics, and co-curricular activities. I am delighted to continue to help students grow and to meet the needs of Fife High School.
I come to this position with 13 years of experience teaching high school math and coaching cross country, track & field, and cheerleading. As well as 7 years of experience as an assistant principal. I worked at many different schools and school districts in Washington before finding my home at Fife High School. I have been lucky to work with many amazing people and to meet so many wonderful students and families along my journey, however, the students, families, and staff at Fife High School have definitely found a special place in my heart and I am so pleased to know that I will be able to continue serving them.
When I am not at school I am spending time with my family. My husband and our son and daughter are big fans of FHS as well and often attend events with me. One of the pillars of Fife High School is Family and I know that my own personal family has been impacted by this important Fife value. Even though I have been around FHS for a while, and some of you know me, I am very excited to meet more of you as we move forward, so please do not hesitate to introduce yourself to me. I am very much looking forward to seeing our students and families very soon, have a great rest of the summer.
Get 'em Trojans!
Paige Carroll
Principal
Information As We Return
As summer winds down I hope you have been able to recharge for the start of another school year.
This letter is the first of a few different pieces of communication that will go out as we step towards the first day of school. Fife High News, an electronic newsletter, is our main source of information for FHS. This Fall, rather than sending out one big correspondence saturated with information, soon you will be receiving a series of Fife High News editions that will cover important details for the start of the year.
Athletic Clearance Day: Monday, August 15th
Fall Athletic Clearances Begin, go to: getemtrojans.com for more information on athletics. Please park in the student parking lot if you are on campus for the clearances. You will have to enter the lot from 23rd street (it runs behind the stadium).
Trojan Days
The first big event for all students I’d like you to be aware of is Trojan Days, August 25th and 26th. This event is where students come on campus to take care of things like purchasing ASB, parking, Cabbage Patch shirts, submit class schedule change requests, take your ID picture, etc.
1st Day of School: Thursday, September 1st
Sophomores and New to District Students
I want our new students to FHS to know that we got you! Don’t worry! The first day of school is committed to helping our Sophomore class, and new students to the district, get acclimated to Fife. So this day features a unique schedule with only these groups of students on campus for much of the day. There is naturally a lot of uncertainty and questions as students begin their first day in a new school environment, and we use this day to welcome our new Fife Trojans, show them around campus, and build new relationships.
Returning students
Thursday afternoon ALL our students are on campus as an entire school. During the first few days of school for all our grade levels there is a heavy focus on meeting people and learning about the school and the campus, all of which will be important this year as we work to continue to reconnect!
Friday Night Lights- Back To School Tailgate
The first Friday evening of the school year, September 2nd, we plan to host Fife’s version of back to school night. Families and students can come to our courtyard outside the main office and meet our teachers while enjoying some music, food, and some games. The event concludes with our first home football game at 7PM.
Save the Date
As I said, much more information and details about all these events will be coming out over the next few weeks in Fife High News. However, in advance, here are some important dates that I’d like you to be aware of, again keeping in mind that details will be following in subsequent newsletters.
8/15 - Fall Athletic Clearances Begin
8/17 - Football Begins
8/22 - All Fall Sports Begin
8/25 - Senior Trojan Day 8AM-12PM, and Junior Trojan Day 12:30PM-3:30PM

Annual Student Information Update
New this year, all Families (both Family 1 and Family 2) need to review and update their student’s information for the 2022-2023 school year. This is done through Skyward Family Access. This will ensure that each student has up to date contact and demographic information. The information must be updated for each student in the family.
To review the information, please open your account on Family Access for your student. On the left hand side click on the “Information Update” button.
Or look for the notice (shown below) in the center of the screen and click on the link that says “Go to Information Update for students name.”
Please scroll through, review and update all of the steps listed. It is very important that we have updated phone numbers for Families, Emergency Contacts, and the Student (if they have a cell phone) so that we can get in contact with you as well as send out notifications.
It is important that all families review their information and submit into the system even if there are no changes. Students will not be able to access their 2022-2023 class schedules if this process is not completed. Once this process is completed, students will be able to access their schedules on August 24th.
