Workshop Description & Overview
Target Audience: Elementary Teachers - Grades K-6th
Overview: This workshop will engage participants by the inclusion of STEM inquiry activities that will be completed in the workshop. The workshop will incorporate activities from the NASA Beginning Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) Teacher's Guide. We will also explore integrating technology with NASA's free programs including "Space Place" and "Kids' Club"...

- Presentation: 9:00am - 2:30pm (with 1/2 hour for lunch)
- Location: Hardin Houston School, 5300 Houston Rd, Houston, OH 45333 (Room #100)
Important Note: Please pack your lunch as you will only have 1/2 hour working lunch break.

Susan Kohler
Susan Kohler is the current Education Professional Development Specialist for the EPDC (Educator Professional Development Collaborative) Project at NASA Glenn Research Center and a Faculty of practice at Texas State University in the LBJ Institute for STEM Education and Research. Her credentials include a Master’s in Education Administration and research in Neurophysiology.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS
What time should I arrive at the training site? Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete the check-in process.
Food & Beverage: Bottled water and assorted breakfast bars will be available at the beginning of each session. While coffee or other food will not be served, participants are free to bring snack items for themselves or to share with the group. Please pack your lunch as we will only have 1/2 hour to eat. Thank you!
What You Should Bring? Participants should bring note taking materials and writing utensils with them to the session.
Our Cancellation Policy - Cancellations must be received 11 days prior to the event date. Cancellations received outside of this policy will not be accepted and Districts or individuals will be billed accordingly.
