Non-discrimination and Non-harassment Information
All students in HSE Schools deserve to come to school free of fear and to feel safe to be their authentic selves. Discrimination of any type is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated at HSEHS Schools – this includes sexual harassment (Title IX) and discrimination based on disabilities or race (Titles II and VI).
If students ever experience any type of harassment, we ask that they report this immediately to an administrator, school counselor or trusted adult. STEM News
Students have been super busy in STEM with coding this month! It has been exciting to explore coding with different online resources and apps. K/1 students have been telling their fuzzball which way to go inside of a maze with the Kodable app. Students in grades 2/3/4 used Hour of Code online to create dance parties, build and create in Minecraft, code angles in Frozen, and much more! Some classes also had the opportunity to work with 2 students from Fishers High School that joined us from their computer programming class. In addition to coding, 4th graders had fun “driving” spheros around tracks they made with fellow group members. We are looking forward to more challenges and exploration time in January!
Hot Box Cups: If you have any Hot Box cups you would like to donate, STEM would love to have some for cup stacking!
Exploration Time Donations: I am always taking Exploration Time donations that you may no longer use at your home. Example items include: building blocks, marble runs, play-doh, coloring books, legos, cookie cutters, etc…
Have a fantastic Winter Break!
