PCHS Learning at Home
Update for the week of March 23rd-27th
Dear PCHS Parent & Student,
Tomorrow starts a new journey for all of us. Statewide, all educators and students will be moving to a virtual learning opportunity. Students, parents, and teachers are going to adjust, but let’s be clear...our most important role right now is to support each other both emotionally and academically. This is a difficult and challenging time for everyone. The one word that we need to focus on during this phase is grace. This is new for everyone, and we are all in this together.
It is our goal for the next couple of weeks to accomplish two things. First, check with our students and families. Let them know that we are here to help and will be providing direct support during this time. Second, roll out new processes and procedures to support PCR-III continuous learning opportunities. This is going to take time to implement across all our different programs while continually making adjustments. I ask for grace the next two weeks for our teachers and staff as we embark on this new journey. I also acknowledge that parents and students will need some grace as well. We want all students to know that they are cared for and that we are here to support them any way we can!
I have attached multiple links to the district's plan to move forward in online learning and support services. I strongly encourage parents and students to visit the page. It has great information and will be updated often.
Pirate Pride,
Dr. Sayre

What can I expect this week for my student and myself?
Your student will be getting an update email from each of their teachers starting tomorrow. This could take some time getting all the classrooms set up, but expect direct communication to start early next week. Again the goal for the first week is checking on our students and families and then getting our virtual process/expectations set up to support future learning activities.
You can also refer to the PCR-III continuous learning opportunity page that has basic expectations for parents, district employees, and students.
