Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Appear on Fortune World’s Most Admired Companies List
Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS) and Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN) are among 500 firms on Fortune’s annual ranking of the “ World’s Most 먹튀검증 Admired Companies.”

For Sands, this appearance on the list is its sixth straight and ninth in the past decade. Overall, the Venetian Macau operator ranks 197th on the Fortune list, tops among gaming companies.
For the third year in a row, Apple, Amazon and Microsoft rank first, second, and third, respectively, based on our poll of some 3,700 corporate executives, directors, and analysts. It’s Apple’s 15th straight year in the No. 1 spot, a fitting coronation for the world’s most valuable company,” according to the financial magazine.
Las Vegas Sands also ranks the highest among the three Nevada-based companies in the rankings. MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) is next at number 217, followed by Wynn in the 326th spot. In the hotels, casinos and resorts category, MGM, Wynn and Sands place fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.
More Accolades for Sands
Sands’ latest appearance on the Fortune arrives less than two months after the largest integrated resort operator by market capitalization appear on Newsweek’s annual rankings of the most responsible American companies. MGM and Caesars Entertainment (NASDAQ:CZR) are also represented in those rankings.
Last December, LVS revealed its Sands China unit was added to the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index. Last year, the casino operator was also included in the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index, making it the first gaming equity to be included in both of those benchmarks.
“Our continued inclusion on this prestigious 메이저사이트 reputational benchmark speaks to the economic value, social benefit, environmental leadership and business acumen we bring to our communities and the hospitality industry as a whole,” said LVS President and COO Patrick Dumont, commenting on the Fortune list.
Wynn Rewarded, Too
While Wynn is synonymous with gaming properties, its reputation for top-flight non-gaming amenities may have been a factor in its appearance on the “World’s Most Admired Companies” rankings.
“Over the past year, Wynn Resorts has debuted a series of new offerings, including the modern-day supper club and Hollywood hotspot Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas; the popular destination cocktail venue Overlook Lounge, Aperitifs and Spirits; and the all-new Casa Playa restaurant, helmed by the talented Chef Sarah Thompson, that showcases authentic Mexican coastal cuisine,” according to a statement issued by the company.
Four restaurants at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace earned a combined seven Michelin stars last year. Additionally, Wynn recently announced plans for a new integrated resort on Al-Marjan Island in the United Arab 토토사이트 Emirates.
It’s a location that analysts are already saying will be driven largely by non-gaming attractions, though plans are in place for a casino at the venue.
Florida Voters in Charge Seek Extension, as Casino Petition Misses Threshold at Deadline
UPDATE 2 pm 2/2/22 – This article has been updated to include a judge’s ruling against “Florida Voters in Charge” late Tuesday.
A $51.6 million campaign to put a casino 먹튀검증 gaming referendum on Florida’s 2022 general election ballot appears to have fallen short by more than 77,000 signatures. However, proponents of the measure backed by Sands Corp. are exploring options to seek more time for officials to verify signatures on their petitions.

A measure that could have opened the door for the northern Florida city to land a casino looks like it will fall short of the signatures needed to get on the November ballot. However, Florida Voters in Charge has filed a lawsuit seeking an extension for election officials to verify signatures. (Image: VisitJacksonville.com)
Tuesday afternoon was the deadline for officials in Florida to verify petition signatures for referendums, and according to the state’s Division of Elections unofficial totals, officials had verified 814,212 signatures on petitions submitted by “Florida Voters in Charge.”
The group needed 891,589 signatures from registered voters.
However, Florida Politics reported that “Florida Voters in Charge” filed a lawsuit in Leon County, where the state capital Tallahassee is located, against Secretary of State Laurel Lee. The group seeks a judge’s order requiring officials in the state’s 67 counties to continue counting.
We believe we have submitted the required number of voter signatures to qualify for the ballot, but unlawful delays in processing them will lead to voters not having their voices heard,” “Florida Voters in Charge” said in a statement Tuesday to Florida Politics. “This lawsuit was filed to ensure fundamental rights are not violated and every voter signature is counted.”
A Leon County judge denied “Florida 메이저사이트 Voters in Charge” an emergency order on Tuesday.
“We believe we have submitted enough petitions to be validated to make the 2022 ballot and we are continuing to explore our options at this time,” Sarah Bascomb, a spokesperson for “Florida Voters in Charge” told Casino.org on Wednesday.
If it were to get on the ballot, voters would decide whether to amend the Florida Constitution to allow Las Vegas-style casinos in locations more than 130 miles from all Seminole Gaming facilities. That would essentially limit the casinos to the northern half of the state.
Lawsuits Filed by Proponents, Opponents
The campaign has been a bitter fight between proponents for expanded gaming in the state and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which opposes the measure.
“Florida Voters in Charge” filed a lawsuit against “Standing Up for Florida,” claiming the Seminole-backed organization harassed and intimidated petition gatherers. In response, “Standing Up for Florida” countersued, claiming petition gatherers for the Sands-backed group forged signatures on petitions and paid gatherers for signatures they received. “Standing Up for Florida” also contends that petition-gatherers also destroyed sheets that included incomplete information or illegible signatures, which violates state law.
According to campaign contribution records kept by the Florida Department of Elections, “Florida Voters in Charge” received $51.6 million. The Poarch Creek Band of Indians, an Alabama-based tribe, contributed $2 million to the campaign. Sands gave more than $49.5 million.
Casino Measure Also Short on Second Threshold
Getting 891,589 signatures – a total representing 8 percent of the ballots cast by Florida voters in the 2020 presidential election – was just one of two thresholds proponents needed to meet in order to get the measure on the ballot.
Florida law also requires groups to meet the same 8 percent signature threshold in 14 of the state’s 27 congressional districts. According to data from state elections officials, “Florida Voters in Charge” is also short of that mark. Through Tuesday, proponents surpassed the needed signatures in just 10 of the districts.
The casino measure was one of two gaming-related initiatives proposed for the 2022 ballot. Last week, “Florida Education Champions” conceded its petition drive to legalize sports betting statewide would not meet the 토토사이트 signature requirement by Tuesday.
Through Tuesday, that $37 million campaign, funded mainly by FanDuel and DraftKings, had less than 515,000 signatures validated.
Florida Sports Betting Measure at Crunch Time, Barstool’s Portnoy Backs Petition
With the clock ticking, sports betting operators have started their versions of the two-minute drill to encourage Florida’s registered voters. The goal is to put a sports betting legalization measure on the November ballot. They’ve apparently even called on Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy to help get the initiative’s petition across the goal line.

Proponents of the measure must have 891,589 signatures from registered voters validated by Florida elections officials by Feb. 1 in order for it to qualify. That figure equals 8 percent of the votes cast in the state’s last presidential election.
According to data from the Florida Division of Elections, officials have validated 346,826 signatures. That’s roughly 40 percent of the threshold. In addition to the statewide total, “Florida Education Champions,” the sponsor of the sports betting measure, must also get signatures from registered voters that equal or exceed 8 percent of the votes cast in at least 14 of the state’s 27 congressional districts.
“Florida Education Champions” has received $37.2 million in contributions to promote the sports betting measure across the state. According to state election finance records, nearly all of that has come from DraftKings ($22.7 million) and FanDuel ($14.5 million). There have also been 29 individual contributions, but none exceed $100.
DraftKings Sweetens the Pot with a Bonus
Besides funding the political action committee sponsoring the measure, DraftKings is also willing to spend even more money to ensure the sports betting measure gets on the Florida ballot this year.
On Friday, the Boston-based gaming technology company announced a campaign to get more people to sign the petition. If successful, DraftKings’ Florida customers would receive $100 in site credits.
“All you have to do is print, sign, and mail in yours by Jan. 19,” DraftKings tweeted from its main account and its sportsbook account.
Barstool’s Portnoy Now Involved
On Thursday night, Portnoy went online at Barstool Sports and on social media sites to say he would “save sports gambling in Florida.” He made the announcement from his home in South Florida.
Portnoy’s Barstool is the brand name 먹튀검증 for one of Penn National Gaming’s sport betting operations. Two years ago, Penn acquired a 36 percent share of the online sports media enterprise.
Portnoy said competitors who have “trashed” him in private now called on him to get more signatures. In addition, he said that if only the Seminole Tribe of Florida was allowed to offer sports betting in the state, bettors in the state would suffer from a lack of competitive options. That’s assuming either the federal appeals court overturns a judge’s order that threw out the compact, or a new compact limits sports betting to tribal lands only –
My enemies asked me to help,” Portnoy said. “We just want the choice.”
Portnoy’s video included a toll-free number and a QR code that let people request a petition.
What’s in the Florida Sports Betting Measure
The proposed measure would amend the state’s constitution to allow sports betting at professional sports stadiums and pari-mutuel venues, as well as through mobile apps available across Florida. It would require the state legislature to pass laws regarding licensing operators, regulating the activity, and taxing operator revenues. Any tax dollars generated would go to the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
If passed, operators that have conducted mobile sports betting in 10 or more states for at least one calendar year would be allowed to launch in Florida. The stipulation is within “eight months of the effective date of this amendment,” according to the measure’s text. Native American tribes with a gaming 토토사이트 compact in Florida would also be authorized to offer sports betting.
Last year, the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the state agreed to amend their tribal gaming compact. That deal gave the tribe exclusive statewide rights to online and retail sports betting in exchange for payments, including $2.5 billion for the first five years of the deal. However, a federal judge has thrown out the compact, saying it did not adhere to federal tribal gaming law.
The Seminole Tribe has appealed that ruling.
Bob Baffert Considering Lawsuit Against Churchill Downs Over Kentucky Derby Ban
A lawyer for Bob Baffert confirmed to Casino.org Monday night that the Hall of Fame thoroughbred trainer is considering a federal lawsuit against Churchill Downs Inc. The action is an effort to have his 3-year-olds 먹튀검증 eligible to run in this year’s Kentucky Derby.

Horse racing trainer Bob Baffert may file a lawsuit against Churchill Downs in an effort to have his horses become eligible to run in this year’s Kentucky Derby. Churchill Downs suspended the Hall of Fame trainer after Medina Spirit, his 2021 Derby winner, failed a drug test for betamethasone. (Image: Churchill Downs/KentuckyDerby.com)
Earlier Monday, The New York Times reported Baffert was considering a suit against the Louisville-based gaming company, and that Churchill Downs was considering a countersuit.
Baffert won his record-setting seventh Derby last year with Medina Spirit. However, a week after that win, a drug test showed levels of betamethasone in his system that were above state regulations. Betamethasone is an anti-inflammatory medication. After initially denying Medina Spirit ever received the drug, he would claim later that a veterinarian prescribed the use of an ointment with the substance to treat a rash.
Churchill Downs has suspended Baffert from all of its tracks across the country for two years as a result of the failed test. As part of that suspension, none of his horses would be eligible to run in the Derby or earn points from placing in any qualifying races during that time.
But the drug test is under an appeal, and that case with the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) has been tied up in court as well. Last month, another lawyer for Baffert said further testing on the sample showed that the type of betamethasone in Medina Spirit’s system was the kind used in topical ointments. KHRC’s withdrawal guidelines provide recommendations on betamethasone injections.
It remains to be seen whether the commission or a court will appreciate the difference. If the failed drug test stands, Medina Spirit would be disqualified as the Derby winner, and Baffert would face punishment from the commission.
On Dec. 6, just days after the drug test statement, Medina Spirit died on the track at Santa Anita after a training session. An investigation into his death is still ongoing.
Draft Lawsuit Shared as Part of Discussions
Clark Brewster, the lawyer representing Baffert in the Churchill Downs case, told Casino.org that after the tests came back in the KHRC they made a “genuine overture” to Churchill Downs to discuss the matter. That included sending their lawyers a nearly 80-page draft lawsuit.
After some discussions were held last week, Brewster said both sides were set to meet again Monday afternoon. Then, right before that meeting was to start, Brewster said he was notified about The Times article.
Per The Times, Baffert seeks a court order that would allow his horses to enter Road to the Kentucky Derby races and receive points toward qualifying for the May 7 Derby. He also wants the court to block Churchill Downs from barring his horses into races at its Kentucky tracks.
Including its namesake flagship property, Churchill Downs owns four thoroughbred tracks. The others are Turfway Park in Florence, Ky., Fair Grounds in New Orleans, and Presque Isle Downs in Erie, Pa.
They’ve never done this,” Brewster said about Churchill Downs. “This is the first time ever. Now in the past, they say, ‘Well, we have the right to exclude people if they’re drunk or they’re a threat or come on premises and get 메이저사이트 into a fight.’ Certainly, but this isn’t that at all.”
Brewster also said the portrayal of Baffert in articles since the Medina Spirit failed test was announced has been unfair. His client has an “amazing” record, he said.
In a career spanning more than four decades, Baffert’s horses have failed drug tests at least 29 times. However, Brewster said that his client has entered 727 horses in Kentucky over the last 29 years. In that time, Brewster said only one horse – Gamine in the 2020 Kentucky Oaks – came back with a drug test violation.
Gamine was also found to have an excessive amount of betamethasone in her system, which Brewster said came from two injections 18 days out. State guidelines call for one injection no earlier than 14 days before a race.
The filly was stripped of her third-place finish in the 2020 Oaks and Baffert was fined $1,500 after waiving his right to appeal.
Key Derby Preps Start Next Month
Churchill Downs’ ban has already had some implications. Corniche, a colt trained by Baffert, won the American Pharoah Stakes at Santa Anita in October and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Del Mar a month later. Churchill awarded Derby points to top finishers in those races. But Corniche did not receive any.
Two other Baffert horses finished first and second in the Jan. 1 Sham Stakes at Santa Anita. But Churchill Downs did not give Newgrange 10 points, nor Rockefeller four points for their finish.
If Corniche received the 30 points for winning his two races, he’d be firmly at the top of the current standings. Newgrange would also be near the top of the leaderboard.
However, the major races for Derby qualification do not begin for more than a month. Starting in mid-February, races will take place that offers 50 qualifying points for each winner. From March 26 to April 9, there are eight races where the winner gets 100 points.
Earning 50 points typically is enough to qualify for the Derby.
Brewster told Casino.org that he’d rather not file a lawsuit and hoped that the discussions could resolve the matter. However,
I’ve never seen a situation where a party wouldn’t even engage in any kind of dialogue, became truly intransigent,” Brewster said. “That makes no sense except that you feel like you’re omnipotent or all-powerful in some way.”
Churchill Downs was not the only entity to act after the Medina Spirit test. The New York Racing Association also banned Baffert. However, the trainer won an injunction in federal court after a judge ruled NYRA denied Baffert due process. NYRA has since scheduled a hearing that will take place on Jan. 24
Churchill Downs May Seek to Protect Itself
In a statement after The Times published its article, Churchill Downs Inc. said it was “committed to protecting the integrity and future” of the sport for all who participate. That includes the horses, fans, and bettors.
“No one is above the rules, including Mr. Baffert, and we remain intent on holding him accountable for his actions,” the company said.
Churchill Downs Inc. CEO Bill Carstanjen told The Times the potential lawsuit is a page from Baffert’s “well-worn playbook of obfuscating the facts, inventing excuses to explain positive drug tests, and attempting to 토토사이트 blame others to avoid responsibility.”
Carstanjen added that Churchill is considering its own lawsuit in response.
“We are considering any and all legal options available to us to set the record straight and ensure Mr. Baffert is held accountable for all the reputational damage he has caused us,” Carstanjen said. “The irony is not lost on us that despite all of his violations, he is the one threatening to file lawsuits claiming to be aggrieved.”
New York Mobile Sports Betting Breaks $1B Handle Barrier After Second Full Week
At this point, the question isn’t if New York will set the record for sports betting handle in January. The question is by 먹튀검증 how much.
Josh Allen

Figures released Friday by the New York State Gaming Commission show the state’s five mobile sports betting apps have generated a handle of nearly $1.18 billion through Jan. 23.
Statewide mobile betting went live in New York on Jan. 8. For perspective, New Jersey did not surpass the $1 billion monthly handle mark until last September, more than three years after mobile sports betting went live in the state.
The record monthly sports betting handle for a US state is $1.3 billion, set by New Jersey in October. That figure includes wagers at brick-and-mortar sportsbooks. If you add the January-to-date handle from the sportsbooks at its four upstate commercial casinos, New York’s overall handle for the month is $1.19 billion.
Gross gaming revenues (GGR) from mobile gaming total $91.4 million. The state’s share is $46.6 million.
Caesars Still Tops in New York
Wagering continued to increase in the second full week of betting.
The five sports betting apps 메이저사이트 reported a handle of $572.6 million for the week ending last Sunday. That’s an increase of $140.8 million, or 32.6 percent, from the $431.8 million New Yorkers bet two weeks ago.
Combined GGR for the week was $43.2 million.
Caesars Sportsbook once again reigned supreme in the state. The Las Vegas-based gaming giant’s app reported a weekly handle of $229.7 million and GGR of $19 million. To date, Caesars has reported a handle of $487.4 million, which equates to 41.5 percent of the betting activity.
FanDuel reported a one-week handle of $159.7 million and a GGR of $10 million. For the first 16 days of mobile sports betting in New York, the Flutter Entertainment brand reported a total handle of $360 million, a 30.6 percent market share.
DraftKings handle for the week ending last Sunday was $131.1 million, with a GGR of $10.8 million. The Boston-based sports betting operator has a month-to-date handle of $265.5 million, which equals a 22.6 percent market share.
BetRivers reported a weekly handle of $11.6 million, with a GGR of nearly $785,000. For the first 16 days, the Rush Street Interactive brand has a total handle of $22.2 million and a GGR of $1.2 million.
BetMGM Posts First Numbers
Friday’s report marked the first numbers from BetMGM. The sports betting operator that’s a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain PLC officially went live in New York on Jan. 17.
BetMGM missed out on some NFL playoff action because of a Monday launch. Because of that, its handle for its first six days in New York was $40.7 million. The operator reported a GGR of $2.5 million during that time frame.
Next week’s report will 토토사이트 mark the first numbers from PointsBet, which last Monday became the sixth mobile operator to launch in the state.
Three more operators await approval from the Gaming Commission to launch. They are BallyBet, Resorts World Bet, and Wynn Interactive.
BallyBet won’t launch until April. That’s according to information from Bally’s Corp. Chairman Soo Kim.
First Nation Vows to Derail Ontario Online Gaming, Sports Betting Market
Ontario will launch its private online gaming and sports betting market on April 4, signifying a move away from the provincial 먹튀검증 monopolies that have persisted in Canada until now.
Ontario Online Gaming
Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation Chief Kelly LaRocca, pictured, described Ontario’s impending liberalized online gaming market as a “significant threat” to the tribe. (Image: Jason Liebregts/Metrol)
Around 30 operators are lining up to go live in what could quickly become one of the biggest markets in North America.
With a population of almost 15 million, it’s expected to generate CA$989 million (US$789 million) in gross revenue in its first year, and CA$1.86 billion (US$1.46 billion) by 2026, according to research firm Vixio GamblingCompliance.
First Nation Calls For Action
But not everyone is licking their chops. The Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation (MSIFN) operates the Great Blue Heron Casino and Hotel northeast of Toronto. In a statement, the tribe called the provincial government’s Friday announcement of the launch date a “slap in the face” to Ontario’s First Nations, that “reduces… promises of reconciliation to a joke.”
The Nation said it would sue in a bid to block the market.
“The Ford government has recklessly ignored our concerns and has not offered any strategies to address the impact that their inadequate plan will have on our First Nation, our culture, and our ability to provide 메이저사이트 services to our community,” said MSIFN Chief Kelly LaRocca.
It is a real and significant threat. It will not stand. If the Ford government is not willing to address the harms caused by its decision, we will have to make them accountable, in an election year,” LaRocca continued.
The response underlines the tension that can exist between provincial governments and the First Nations when it comes to gaming.
Canadian tribal gaming is on a less sure footing than in the US. That’s because there is no federal legislation in Canada that enshrines indigenous gaming rights, like the US Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA).
First Nation Gaming Rights
IGRA allows sovereign tribes to conduct Class II gaming (electronic bingo, card games), provided it is legal anywhere in the state. It also requires tribes to enter into a compact with the state government for Class III casino-style gaming. These compacts can provide the tribes with assurances against future state-sanctioned gambling expansion.
Canada’s Supreme Court has acknowledged the concept of tribal sovereignty, which encompasses the right to self-governance and for a tribe to use its sovereign land as it chooses, including for economic purposes. But the court has also ruled that neither gaming nor the regulation of gaming is an “integral part” of First Nations culture and is therefore not protected by federal law.
Unlike American tribes, Canadian First Nations can only conduct gaming under a provincial license and in accordance with provincial laws, which many see as an affront to their sovereignty.
Meanwhile, Canada’s federal government refuses to engage with the First Nations on jurisdictional matters related to casinos, because it has devolved the power to regulate gaming to provincial governments.
That doesn’t mean the tribes 토토사이트 and provinces can’t work together when it comes to online gaming. Last September, the province of Saskatchewan announced it would launch an online casino and sports betting platform jointly with the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, with revenues split 50/50 between the two parties.
The federation represents Saskatchewan’s 74 First Nations.
Wisconsin Sports Betting Set for Milwaukee After Potawatomi Gaming Compact Amended
A third tribal nation in Wisconsin is on the verge of offering sports betting at its casinos. On Friday, Gov. Tony Evers announced the state signed a gaming compact amendment with the Forest County Potawatomi.
Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers

On Friday, he announced his administration reached an agreement on an amended gaming compact that would allow the Forest County Potawatomi to offer sports betting at its casinos, which includes one in Milwaukee. (Image: Gov. Tony Evers/Flickr)
The Potawatomi have the potential to be the biggest sportsbook in the state, as they operate a namesake casino in Milwaukee, the state’s largest city.
The compact amendment is the result of extensive and productive negotiations with the Forest County Potawatomi Community,” said Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary-designee Kathy Blumenfeld in a statement. “We are grateful for our continued partnership, and this successful negotiation will be a win-win for the state and the Tribe.”
According to the announcement from Evers, the compact would allow the tribe to offer event wagering on both sports and non-sports events. The release does not detail what is included in non-sports events. Besides the Potawatomi Casino and Hotel in Milwaukee, the tribe also operates the Potawatomi Carter Casino Hotel in Wabeno, which is about 65 miles northwest of Green Bay.
The amended compact also allows for the tribe to conduct sports betting on lands adjacent to its casinos in Menominee Valley and Forest County. Provided, of course, federal officials approve it.
“We appreciate Governor Evers and his Administration working with us in a government-to-government manner to provide our Tribe the tools needed to compete in the marketplace and giving us the business certainty to continue our investments in Milwaukee and throughout the state,” Daniels said in a statement.
Now Up to Interior Department to Approve
In his statement, Evers said he was happy to get a deal done with the Potawatomi. That’s because it will spur economic growth for the tribal nation and the state.
“I look forward to continuing our partnership together to find new opportunities that support and bolster the Tribe’s success and our state’s success for years to come,” the governor said.
Per the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), the federal law overseeing tribal gaming, the US Department of Interior will have 45 days upon receipt to review the compact amendment signed by Evers and 메이저사이트 Potawatomi Chairman Ned Daniels Jr.
Should federal officials not make a decision within that 45-day window, the amendment to the compact will be considered approved to the extent it complies with IGRA.
Besides being able to offer sports betting, the amendment also extends the term of the existing gaming compact to 2061.
More Opportunities for Wisconsin Sports Betting
Prior to reaching an agreement with the Potawatomi, the Evers Administration amended compacts with the Oneida Nation and the St. Croix Chippewa Indians. It granted them rights to offer sports betting.
The Oneida launched sports betting at its Green Bay casino in late November. After that, Evers announced an amended compact with the St. Croix Chippewa, which operates three casinos in northwest Wisconsin. Those three casinos happen to be within 80 miles of the Twin Cities metropolitan area in neighboring Minnesota.
That amended compact also must get federal approval.
Evers and his office will have the chance to amend compacts with another eight tribes, and allow those sovereign nations to offer sports betting at their casinos.
According to the Wisconsin Legislative Fiscal Bureau, 11 tribes operate 24 Class III casinos in the state. Legislative researchers found that the tribal casinos reported more than $1.3 billion in net revenue in 2019. In return, the state received nearly $34.6 million in the 2019-20 fiscal year.
Sports betting may also be 토토사이트 limited to only tribal operators, the researchers said. That’s because if the state amended the constitution to allow sports betting, it could be viewed as a violation of the exclusivity clause within the tribal compacts. That could potentially lead to the state losing out on payments from tribal operators, or even having to refund prior allocations.
