Principal's Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
It’s the end of the year, and celebrations and traditions abound! Today we had our school wide field day, which is planned, organized and facilitated by our fifth grade students. This yearly tradition is an opportunity for students to showcase their leadership skills and give back to our community. All of our students had a great time and we soaked up the good weather before the incoming cold front.
Tomorrow we are sending 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students to the Denver Zoo to participate in a special showcase of the DACE fish project which is a partnership between the SVVSD Innovation Center and Boulder County Parks and Open Space to create innovative ways to protect endangered fish species. It is so cool that our elementary students have the opportunity to interact with high school age students from across SVVSD conducting such innovative science projects.
Also tomorrow, the graduating class at Silver Creek High School will be marching at our school in the graduation regalia. Graduation and academic success for the future are cornerstones of our work and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate these amazing students in our community.
I hope you have a great weekend!
Warmly,
Amanda

Dean of Students Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
We are very fortunate at Eagle Crest to have a community that can walk, ride their bikes and scooters to school. It is a fantastic way to keep everyone active, reduce the traffic and the environmental impact on our community. As we head into the last week of school, we wanted to remind everyone about locking up bikes and scooters. Things have been known to go missing and it is safest to keep everything locked up during the day. Thank you for helping us keep everything safe and accounted for!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
Dean of Students

News from the Library
Library Book Round UP
As the school year winds down, it is time to get all the library books back to the library. If your student has library books still checked out, library notices will be sent home via email and in Thursday folders next week. If you receive a notice, please help your student find the books and bring them back to school. Students have found books under beds, in cars, behind sofas and sometimes even mixed in with their own books!
All library books need to be returned to the library by Monday, May 23rd. After that date, books will be considered lost and lost book fees will be assigned to your student's account in Infinite Campus and can be paid online through RevTrak.
If your student(s) is working on a project for school and needs the book a bit longer, they may keep their books until the project is turned in.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at beckett_joan@svvsd.org or at (303) 485-6073 ext. 22313
Thank you for helping get books back to the library for other students to read and enjoy!

End of Year Picnic
This year we are bringing back the tradition of the End of Year Family Picnic. On Thursday, May 26th, families are welcome to attend this all school community event. We will gather on the back field from 11:00am-12:00pm for a fun lunch to celebrate the end of the school year. Bring your chairs, a picnic blanket and a picnic lunch for your family. At the end of your picnic, you are welcome to sign your child out for the day and take them home.
You should receive a permission slip to fill out from your teacher this week to indicate if you are planning to attend the picnic and if you are planning to take your child home or send them home with another family. This is a great community event and we look forward to seeing you there!
